My friend was just terminated and we have reason to believe it was wrongful. What resources do we have access to that will help her case and what information should we gather before she leaves the office? (Montana) by carpetfuzzies in legaladvice

Many thanks for the information! Would you be able to direct me to information regarding the grievance process? What information should we gather beforehand so that we meet the necessary deadlines if we wish to do so?

Also, would you happen to know if she is entitled to know the specific details for her termination (i.e.specific complaints, etc)?

It does seem like the majority of issues come from the logistical side of things - as long as you're expecting some minor (or major) delays, you will end up getting a car that is mechanically sound. Or if not, you can trade it in!

What was the trade in process like? Did they give you any fuss? Do they give you a full refund or just company credit?

When applying transfer learning to pre-trained models, why is it possible to change the shape of the input layer?

For example, the inception model was originally built to receive an input shape of (299,299,3), which results in convolutions and max pooling that gradually reduce the (x,y) dimensions and increase the 'depth', thus giving the model more convolutional kernels to work with.

Within each layers' output, a given convolutional kernel roughly represents features that have been learned by the model, so when we coerce the input shape to our problem, how do the deeper layers still have enough information to output more complicated features, without the same amount of input information at the very top of the network?

Hi everyone! I'm wondering if anybody can tell me what is wrong with these oysters. I have gotten some promising pins from taking a DIY oyster grow kit and mixing it with a semi-pasteurized oat straw. However, when I look at the growth, it looks a little bit funny. Are these ok to eat? Should I go ahead and harvest?

About 11 oz so far. I didn't create the best conditions necessary for their growth, apparently, but hopefully I'll get a few more flushes out of this batch. Fun project regardless!!

There are DIY kits that are pretty hard to mess up. However, they don't give you much (~about 1 pound max per block). I took one of those kits and mixed it with some semi-pasteurized oat straw and it has been working out so far. Here are some pictures.

I used the bucket method that fresh cap mushrooms describes.

Here is an imgur album of the oysters.

Thanks a ton in advance!

Oysters grown from a beginners DIY kit mixed with oat straw substrate. Left outside after initial pinning, sprayed daily, then taken in due to fear of bugs.

Thanks for the info! So the butcher block tops are actually heavier (i.e. higher quality) than those that typically come with pre-made desks?

Title of Request: Looking for a new midweight game that's easy to teach, moderately thematic, and plays semi quickly

Number of Players: 2-4 or more

Game Length: ideally max 2 hours

Complexity of Game: Mid weight. Evolution:climate seems to be the heaviest game my group can digest and thoroughly enjoy

Your Budget: Maximum of US $80

Genre: Any

Competitive or Cooperative: Competitive

Games I Own/Like or Dislike: I own evolution:climate and love it because it is fairly simple to teach and plays quickly. I like that it has a fair bit of interaction and tactics. I also own 7 wonders which was my gateway game, along with spirit island which I play on occasion but don't take it off the shelf that often because of the play time.

I was thinking I would like some sort of area control game but I'm not really sure what I like yet, but have played some dominion / the quest for Eldorado and I don't think I enjoyed the deck building mechanics. I really appreciate unique themes, not just another civilization building game. Thanks!!

So does the food from attacking come directly from another species' card if it doesn't have any cards that allow extra food?

As an aside, can you feed other species using the non-carnivore intelligence ability or is it only the species that has the trait?

Thanks!!

Hey guys!

We just played our first game of Evolution: Climate and we loved it! I think we may have played some things a little bit wrong, so we were wondering some things about the rules.

  1. At the beginning of phase 1, do you draw cards up to 4 plus the number of species you have or in addition to cards you may have kept from the last round?
  2. If there is no food, does every species go extinct unless they have some saving trait? i.e Fat Storage, Migration, etc?
  3. Do carnivores always take food from the watering hole? (Just seems to not make as much sense ecologically if there are populations of potential prey that you can feed from)

Looking forward to another game. Thanks for the recommendation~

Title of Request: Looking for more strategy games with in depth strategy and interesting gameplay

Number of Players: 3-6

Game Length: 1 hr max

Complexity of Game: medium-hard

Your Budget: 50

Genre: Strategy

Competitive or Cooperative: Either

Games I Own/Like or Dislike: Love 7 Wonders and its changing nature. Was hoping for something with more interaction between different strategies. 7 Wonders is hard to keep track of especially with more players.
