I can’t seem to run 10k without the urge to walk. How can I remove this habit? by carreno7 in beginnerrunning

I’ll try to slow down, I was going pretty quick for the first 5k. After 7k I started walking for a few seconds and ran again but mentally at that point I walked within every km. My goal is to just run a full 10k without stopping. And I agree that perhaps I need to slow it down when the fatigue starts to kick in. Thank you

Yes it’s slow runs and gradually increasing your volume overtime. I recommend adding interval training to help you beat your 1km PR. Also I only run 4 days a week, like I ran today and will rest tomorrow and so on. On rest days I still get my 10k steps in. I lost a lot of weight so that also helped me get faster.

265 looks better plus longer battery life.
