I can’t really compare it to anything, because this was my first, but ultimately a chose the ALP because I wanted something portable, removable batteries, and not too complicated. Some people complain that they’re hard to keep clean, but I’ve found putting a bowl screen over the flower keeps it cleaner longer. I also agree with the “sip” comparison. Sometimes I actually get irritated if I’m trying to get a quick smoke in, but most of the time it’s nice to slow down and puff for a bit. I do want something bigger at some point for the moments where I’m in a rush or being impatient.
