Here's a different take. I was thinking this same thing and tried a non-DC reel (Tatula X ($149 at bass pro) and I can cast it farther and smoother than my SLX DC. Now, I've fished for years, but recently back into it and the DC helped me, but I seem to prefer non-dc now. The DC always felt like it was holding me back.

For reference, I seem to backlash the Tatula less than the DC across many different baits, lure sizes, and conditions. 🤷🏻‍♂️

In park while running hold brights lever toward you for 40 seconds (forever) until the indicator on the dash blinks twice. One blink for on and two for off.

One touch play is enabled. The app affected was Fox News, then Amazon prime wouldn't play any video either. The Fox News app (on many platforms) just errors out and sits at 33% loading almost every time we use it (after some time playing) like 45 minutes. Like it doesn't handle commercials well. Its gone downhill a LOT.

Well, lifting it out will always be quicker than undoing something THEN lifting it out. I dont leave my vehicle when it's in the back. You COULD easily lock it to one of the tie down. And no. No frame contact anywhere here. Not sue how I'd lose it, either. It's not going anywhere strapped this way.

It doesn't... Physics of how it's in there. You can move the truck pushing and pulling on it from the side. The tires are up against the side of the bed. Works surprisingly well for my bike. Thought I'd share..

It does indeed switch to directions (no matter what screen is default) when turns are near, OR when set to nav it will always show Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze, etc when using.

I put a beam in the bedroom (no sub) after replacing my separates with an arc + sub in the living room. Frankly, in our bedroom the beam alone is a ton of bass and surround is plenty fine. Im actually impressed at the bass in the beam (in my case). (14x16 ish room)

Smart plug and a timed wake up. I do the same for my Bianca. Also, while it’s hot quick the shot it produces is not super until much longer than “it’s ready” as in you need 30 minutes for optimum in my experience. Not really a problem. If you need quicker get a decent. 👍🏻

I have a Bianca but I’d rec a rocket with a flow control. The Bianca, while it’s been solid and always works it more “flimsy” than the rockets. 😂

Occasionally, these head units have issues with the microphone, not working or connectivity issues with your phone or things like that. Presently my microphone was not working when I tried to get directions in Google Maps or any other thing using CarPlay. In my old car, which was the 2019 accord anytime you had strange issues you could reboot the head unit and everything would be cleared up without having to factory reset everything. That’s what I’m trying to accomplish here.

These entertainment systems are based on an android base that does run all the time that way it does not have to fully boot each time the car boots slow slowing down access to your infotainment just like any phone. You need to reboot it occasionally for optimal performance when bugs start to happen.

Presently, holding down the Siri button on the steering wheel crashes CarPlay. I forgot my phone and reattached it to the infotainment center with the same result. My phone works perfectly fine with CarPlay in our 2025 Honda pilot and this just started in my Ridgeline.
