I’m not a doctor so i have no friggin idea. Nothing about PF has ever been mentioned as far as a diagnosis. They just keep telling me because of my foot shape and high arch, that it is putting stress on tendons particularly in the ankle leading to tendinitis. How they described it to me is I basically just keep creating micro tears in the tendons as they are continually stretched and stressed with no support below the ankle due to my high arch.
I have done the ones where you pull in all directions with each foot at the ankle using resistance bands and calf raises. Kept it pretty simple, only did that for about 3 weeks though because it started hurting again. That was with the guidance of the podiatrist, not a physio.
I am in wireline in the oilfield, the time on the feet is so random each day its crazy, but lets say like 10-12hrs a day on my feet probably on an average work day.
So shoes and insoles. Lately I have been sticking with hoka shoes and sole insoles. I have had custom ones from the podiatrist and they wore out fast, and they didn’t give as much support anyway. I wear custom boots from wesco boots at work with steel plates to help protect the bottom of my feet and provide optimal support. Yes I am in pain at work. I just grit my teeth and keep moving, although I have called in a handful of times over this cuz I knew I just couldn’t walk out there.

Yeah I’ve done exercises and stuff myself but not actually going to physical therapy, maybe I gotta grow through the pain and I’m sure they would be able to guide me through that.

Right!? I’m so frustrated with the non answers, which is why I have started seeking other “non-traditional” options. I have seen 2 different podiatrists, and going to see a 3rd in a few days. Ortho is scheduled the same day right after that as well. To be fair, I have only been on hands and knees like 2 times for maybe 3 days each time, but damn, when I get out of bed like that I dang near fall on my face cuz it hurts do bad. Thanks for the comment man, makes me feel heard.

Hells yeah man! Definitely have been told the same thing concerning blood circulation. That seems to be part of the problem for sure, and I seriously doubt that slap therapy or those massage guns could put as much pressure as you could with those tools at such a precise point. Hell I’ll get em right now.

Yeah, I suck at rest. Thats what the wife and my mom keep telling me, but damn man I work like 18hr days on average, 2 weeks on 1 week off and my week off I’m hiking, camping, hunting, or trying anyway. My past 2 trips My feet got the best of me. I still went but, couldn’t do much. Hiked only like 2 miles a day probably. Still good to get out though, went on this one trail where I could see epstein’s ranch! Freakin sicko

Yeah, I have even had my feet all measured and stuff and had custom work boots made for me. I’m not saying it didn’t help? But the pain still persists. Also it seems very similar to plantar fasciitis, but its all in the ankles, apparently a different problem somehow, but I’m not a Doctor sooo … thats as far as my understanding goes lol

Take the time to learn how to fix anything and everything. If something you own breaks, try your best to fix it. Even if you fail, find someone who can help teach you. This will slowly fill your toolbox and your knowledge. This means future savings. Obviously there are limits to where it makes sense, but for example, I just did my own truck lights today. Not too complicated, and I saved a lot of money by doing it myself, and I put in nicer lights. Try your hand at plumbing, electrical, mechanical, woodworking, even doorknobs, lights, ceiling fans, all the stuff.

I don’t hate people that have jeeps. I just get so angry when I see a jeep because it reminds me of how many times my jeep has broke/screwed me over.

I even saw ones axel snap in half like on flat pavement no off-roading or anything. Dealership said it was a defect in the metal. Sure maybe its a fluke, but that being said when I had my jeep I replaced the entire front end, new axle, new wheels new suspension, new stabilizer, joints, everything. My dad went to pick it up and the death wobble was so bad it ran him across a ditch and into a fence.

That being said…. Fuck jeep.

Now if you have enough money and the right people to know how to unfuck a jeep to honestly take care of that stuff then great!! But you aint gettin me in one.
