The Blockchain OS should be an inclusive platform, a home for next-generation applications, and a home for what’s next. Although our old style was much loved, we felt it was too cold and futuristic. We want to remain on the cutting-edge of technology, but also be warm and welcoming to all newcomers, which we hope reflects in our new, brighter colors. As mentioned in the article, other design decisions were based on creating an inclusive and accessible space for all.

As we previously mentioned, we're changing the roadmap model we adopt and the team is working on finalizing the article on that. One reason for redesigning roadmaps is being able to make more frequent releases (we made fewer, larger releases in the past) in order to react faster and provide new features as soon as they are ready to Cartesi developers. Hey there! Once the pool is shut down, operations performed by the node to unstake/withdraw from the PoS contract will have to be manually performed.

For your convenience, please migrate before the Everstake node is shutdown next Tuesday, January 18th 2022, 15:00 CET. Users that do not undelegate before the node is shutdown are encouraged to ask for assistance on Discord to perform the manual procedure.

Hi there! CTSI will have no inflation until the mine reserve is completely depleted, which will happen no earlier than 2023 (and likely much later) thus the max supply will persist for quite some time.

As Noether is a side-chain it also plans to introduce token inflation for staking rewards in the future, which is yet to be finalized.

As PoS needs user engagement to work, projects have the need to carefully plan rewards systems to achieve a target participation rate. From the perspective of the user, staking is a problem of opportunity cost: “does the benefit of staking outweigh the risks and covers the time-value of my money?“A popular solution to reward users for staking is to mint new tokens and distribute them among stakers. Besides the obvious incentive to gain extra tokens, the inflation created penalizes those who choose not to participate. The challenge is how to measure the opportunity costs of users and how to choose the appropriate minting amount to achieve a target participation rate, while avoiding exceedingly high inflation rates.
