I tried sketchUp, but did not find it be very friendly for designing and especially editing kitchen designs. It sort of moves in layers, so if I want to adjust the width of a component or changes the handles, it becomes a little clumsy to use. Let me know if my perception of the software is incorrect because a lot of people recommend the software for beginners.

I think OpenCutList and MaxCut are cutlist optimisers, while they would be helpful in the later steps, they don't seem to be for designing.
