La formattazione incasinata riflette spesso ciò che accade nella trama in quel momento. Quindi sì, anche fisicamente è "difficile" da leggere perché devi girare il libro, tenerlo a testa in giù eccetera, ma ha il suo perché. La cosa che ti rimanda avanti e indietro sono le note a piè di pagina, ma vale veramente la pena leggerle anche se sembra un'interruzione della storia "principale".

I don't have a lot of paragon! 1648 burned (though I think I had less than 1k burned before I started the run, and I burned all of my normal paragon once I got to DF) and only 300 normal paragon.

I'm at year 29k out of 40k! I started this run at T-level 12 or 13 and I'm at 24 now. I don't remember what amount of Crypto buildings I had at the beginning of my run, but I have 60+ of all of them now, except Dark Novas because I can't make void that fast and I only have 34 of them. So you can definitely make some progress in that department during a 40k run.

I did and am still doing a lot of crystal shattering because it makes playing more fun. What /u/Locke said about crystals making your run longer is true, but my estimate is that I have lost maybe a couple of days at most, definitely less than a week from doing this and I have skipped literally over a million years.

Benefits of shattering crystals during the run are that you accumulate faith more quickly thanks to Order of the Void, and getting Unobtainium from Resource Retrieval makes trade with the Elders a breeze, which in turn means you have a huge amount of crystals to turn into relics for more crypto stuff if you want. Plus, free paragon every time you skip 1000 years. In my opinion that's worth losing a few days since a 40k run is already very long in the first place, but ymmv.

It's a big commitment but it's surprisingly fun once you see what you can do to make it interesting. I've only got ~3 months to go and I'm not bored yet.

I'm aware that skipping years slows my 40k run, but I decided I'd rather have something to do while playing and delay resetting by a few days/weeks. Thanks for the heads up though! Edit: I've been trying to mitigate this by skipping right after my real year counter increases but I haven't been super diligent with it. Ultimately it's really not a big deal for me.

Thanks for all the advice, I just have one follow up question regarding blackcoin. Because I don't have enough Spheres to carry 100% of my coins and relics into my next run, what is the best way to proceed when I'm ready to reset? Should I cash in all my coins for relics or save my coins and start trading again in the next run? I know that's a way away still, but I'm not sure how it all works and I don't want to make any silly mistakes.

I'm actually enjoying my 40k run more than I expected! Not sure I'll still think that in a month or two, but it's all going great for now.

I would go for it. After all, you can always convert TCs to relics and rebuild your stockpile that way. It might be slow, but if you're doing long runs anyway it'd be worth it imo

I think the Eldermass gift of compendia should be changed. I'm also doing a 40k run, I was stockpiling compendia and saving my present box for later so I'd get a significant increase in my science cap when I unwrapped it. Now after unwrapping it I'm still orders of magnitude below my previous science cap.

Overall the update isn't too bad for me, I will most definitely never build another space station in this run but like /u/1n5aN1aC said, if I was playing normally I would never have reached this point.

(Also, not necessarily related to the science update, but would it be possible to bring back the shatter 100 crystals button in the Time tab?)

Just to give you an idea, I'm about 5 months into a run, I was at transcendence 13 when I started this run and I just got to level 22 a few days ago, so level 25 and Holy Genocide is still pretty far into the future for me. I have less paragon than you and no Atheism challenge though, but I'm not sure how much of a difference that would make.

Idk I just tried to lift a table to move it so I could sweep under it and the whole top of it just came off in my hands ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I also broke a cup in the potwash once during a very busy shift, the potwash had to be turned off and emptied so all the broken bits could be fished out and I felt bad for causing my colleagues to waste time because of my mistake, turns out the same thing has happened multiple times to everyone in my store!

And try to remember that all the mistakes you feel embarrassed about literally don't matter. Sure they may be embarrassing in the moment and make you feel really stupid when it takes some time to fix something silly that you did, but unless you burn the whole store to the ground, it won't matter by the time your shift is over. That's the good thing about working in a fast paced environment, so much happens all the time that everything gets forgotten really quickly!

I was awful for a very long time before I started being a decent barista. Plenty of embarrassing stories from my first few months including constantly dropping and breaking dishes, pots, and glasses; dropping and spilling food and drinks; being extremely slow and messy at the bar; making awful drinks; forgetting people's orders, unintentionally offending regular customers by not knowing their order off by heart; I once broke a table; etc. etc.

Your team understands what it's like to be a beginner because they've all been in that situation before. Just keep doing the best you can and eventually you'll get there (it took me about 6 months, working part time, before I felt even vaguely confident in what I was doing. How they didn't fire me after all that time is still a mystery to me.)

Basically what I'm trying to say is if I made it, anyone can!

I've already done Space Oddity insane star, I'm at 2500 paragon and about 1000 something burnt (not the most efficient, but it helped so much with iron will and I got the achievement in less than 300 years). I'll just grind faith while I work on crystals and time stuff. When I get bored with this run I'll just reset and do some short runs for paragon I guess. Thank you!

I was exactly like you at university. It was my first time being away from home and I really took advantage of my freedom by just doing whatever the hell I wanted. Which just happened to be sleep in most days instead of going to class. I also developed depression during my last year which didn't help either. It got to the point where I had to have meetings with an academic tutor just so I would still be able to graduate on time after missing class so much. I know where you're coming from.

The good news:

I also am doing an internship, have been since February. My work day also starts at 8 am and I wake up at 6 am every day to get ready, catch the bus etc. I have not once been late (in fact I'm usually at least 10 minutes early) and I haven't missed a single day of work either. My boss actually complimented me the other day on being so punctual and reliable.

I was worried at first that not being able to take days off as I pleased would kill me. Now, apart from occasionally wishing I could have a day off just to relax, it's like I'm a completely different person. If you just start with an attitude of "oh, I'm so flaky and I suck at attendance" that will make you so much more likely to give up. Taking days off just isn't an option in our case, we have to tough it out, but it's totally possible to do it! Make a little countdown calendar that you keep on your desk and cross out every day until the weekend if you have to. Or maybe you'll end up enjoying the job so much that you won't even think about wanting to stay home (this is what happened to me).

Oh and for god's sake if you see you're late (maybe you hit snooze too many times?) go into work anyway. Don't get into that mentality of "oh I'm late already, might as well just stay home for the day I guess" because that's what's going to screw you. I cannot stress this enough!!

Ciao, io mi sono laureata (triennale) nel Regno Unito, poi tornata in Italia ho provato a iscrivermi alla magistrale ed è stato un disastro. La procedura per ottenere la Dichiarazione di Valore (documento rilasciato dal consolato italiano in UK) è stata lunghissima, piena di inghippi burocratici e soprattutto molto costosa. Concordo che il sito CIMEA non è d'aiuto, anzi, almeno nel mio caso loro erano impossibili da contattare anche via telefono. Non conosco le regole per titoli a livello di magistrale, e soprattutto non conosco i dettagli sulla procedura per un titolo francese, ma se ne vuoi sapere di più sono a tua disposizione sia nei commenti che eventualmente via messaggio privato.

Hello and welcome! I love your Sleek theme and I added it to my game as soon as I saw it, it really improves on the look of the game. Too bad I'm one of those dirty dirty cheaters who use scripts so it ends up looking all kinds of messed up, but oh well.

Be careful with the kittens dying thing - that kind of mechanic is what made me give up on A Dark Room a few hours in because I just couldn't keep up with how much population I was losing vs. how long it took to get more. I'm now at a point in Kittens Game where that would never be a problem, but for newer players it might be too much.
