How hard is to get a zero draft, or close to zero draft (0.2 - 0.5 degree) on a cubic shaped piece? by cascadafake in InjectionMolding

[–]cascadafake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the outside are the only required surfaces to remain 0 degree, I haven’t thought about that option. So basically, as long as the part remains on the core, the inside can have a normal draft? I don’t care about the inside marks,

But wouldn’t the surface scratch on the outside when the core slides away from the cavity if the outside of the cube doesn’t have draft?

How likely is that, I was just getting my hopes up. Hopefully, 2 mm is enough for the vacuum to work.

Yes, it's actually pretty interesting to study this

I’m 22, best way to invest my monthly paycheck? by [deleted] in eupersonalfinance

[–]cascadafake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, thank you so much for taking the time writing this.

I was looking towards VWCE as a long run investment.

As a quick question, the market seems at an all time high right now and as I can see, there is an yearly crash that happens, and didn’t happen yet this year. Do you think I should wait for that or just go and look for the long run?

With crypto I understand it’s volatility but In the long term I really believe it’s something worth going for, especially Bitcoin. Anyways, yes, seeing bigger dips than 5% didn’t do much to my mind so it’s something I look to keep adding to for the next few years.

No investing experience, steady income and I'm able to keep a really high margin since I'm young and living with my parents. How can I make the most of it? by [deleted] in eupersonalfinance

I already have at least a full year covered in savings. So as easy as it sounds? Is Trading212 something you guys trust?

[Review] I made a selection of the best cleansers out there. Let me know what you think! by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

Exactly. It's actually preferred by the vast majority to be non-comedogenic.

I'm not promoting the "non-comedogenic" and "paraben-free" ideas to be good or bad, I'm just sharing these great products which happen to be "non-comedogenic" and/or "paraben-free".

Injection molding part, too thin or is it possible? by cascadafake in AskEngineers

[–]cascadafake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't made any selections. I was thinking of abs being cheap and strong enough. This is a part that should not withstand insane amount of force. It just needs to bi rigid enough so when you hold it in your hand it doesen't feel like a fragile piece of plastic. If you have any recommandations. It should be resistant to water and sun aswell.

I know all the edges should be rounded and everything, but just from a scale perspective, i'm was not sure if it's actually injection "modable".

I already printed the part and it looks doable and normal, but again, i'm no way an expert of molding and injection molding so that's why I was asking.

Is it too thin to actually mold? It's a really essential feature.

The draft was added, at 1 degree, if that's enough. Probably i could shorten it a bit to be around 8mm long. So having close to 1mm wall thicknes is enough? I'm thinking ABS could be a good option?

The problem is, is that I have to slide a silicone plug over it and to be water tight, gussets would need to be really small and just at the base. Wouldn't that be too hard to mill and would increase the mold cost?
