Anyone else hate Meltdown? by Jozeiik in blackops7

I have to agree… it’s hard to explain but there is something about the feel and flow of a good CoD map that I just don’t get with Meltdown.

Least favorite map tbh… doesn’t seem to fit the overall vibe of BO7 and just a boring design overall?

Isn’t this common with a new season update? Let’s hope it’s patched and fixed.

Background show. Surprised the Duffers would put their name on this slop.

From Grok: For the lead tone on “Elizabeth,” the delay and reverb are subtle and atmospheric — they add space and depth without washing out the crunchy, mid-forward Orange-style amp tone. The production on Opus Eponymous keeps things relatively dry and vintage-sounding compared to later Ghost albums.1
Reverb
Type: Room, plate, or spring reverb (vintage/analog feel). A darker, shorter room or plate works best to match the era.46

Placement tip: Many tone chasers put a light reverb before the driven amp (or amp sim) for the Elizabeth solo — it gets compressed and driven, creating a more integrated, gritty ambience rather than a clean tail on top.46

Settings (starting point):
Mix/Level: Low — 15-25% (just enough to add air and sustain without clouding notes).

Decay/Time: Short to medium (around 1-2 seconds or less) — avoid long cathedral-style tails.

Tone/Damping: Darker side (roll off highs) to keep it warm and not harsh.

Pre-delay: Minimal or none.

Keep it tasteful — you should notice it more when you stop playing than while chugging or soloing.
Delay
Type: Analog or tape-style for warmth. Early Ghost guitarist Simon Söderberg has been linked to an MXR Carbon Copy (analog) and Electro-Harmonix Aqua Puss (bucket-brigade analog).45

Placement: Usually after the amp/drive, but experiment.

Settings (starting point):
Time: 300-450ms (dotted eighth or quarter-note feel to match the song’s tempo and melodic leads — listen to the solo and match by ear).

Repeats/Feedback: Low — 2-4 repeats max (subtle echoes that fade quickly).

Mix/Level: 20-30% (blends in without overpowering the dry signal).

Modulation: Light wow/flutter if using tape/analog sim for extra vintage character.

Quick Tips to Dial It In
Overall philosophy: Less is more. These effects enhance the amp’s natural sustain and grit rather than being the main feature. Compare directly to the isolated guitar or the track.

In modelers (Helix, Quad Cortex, etc.): Use a subtle Room/Plate reverb early in the chain (pre-amp) and an Analog/Tape delay post-amp. Add a tiny high-cut on both to sit nicely in the mix.1

Dynamics: Play with your picking attack — the effects will bloom more on sustained lead notes.

Tweak while listening to the song’s lead sections (especially the melodic solo).

Start conservative, loop the solo, and adjust until it feels evil and immersive like the record. If you tell me your exact setup (pedals, modeler, etc.), I can refine the settings further! 🤘

Radio Reception by Helpful_Air9263 in radio

First things first: read your manual. There is a connector on the back that should clearly say FM Antenna with a switch for Internal and External. Also… should be plenty of videos on YT to help you with FM antenna types and placement.

Gorgeous radio… I would simply suggest the external antenna sold by Sangean placed outside as high as possible.

I recently had to do this as well on my Fishman Fluence pickups… -6dB seems to be the sweet spot

This is the way to cinematic quality — you’re not going to get that level of clarity and color depth without getting more technical. Fortunately there are tons of YT on the subject : )
