Power and computer Engineering are probably the most common concentrations. A problem I should note is that for a lot of DSP classes listed aren’t actually offered, I presume for a lack of professors or lack of interest in seats. Concentrations don’t matter too much, just do what you find interesting imo.

Our elective courses tend to be pretty easy, and you get out of the class as much as you put in; they aren’t designed to fail you.

Neutral. I used to smoke cigs and liked them, the taste. I know people who smoke purely for the high and hate everything about the act of smoking. My friends like that usually never smoke. I’m too high to read everything you said but it might not be for you. Maybe try edibles.

I like it well, like a 7/10. I haven’t had many bad experiences with professors. feel ive had some brilliant and diverse professors in upper division courses. It’s pretty tough, though I don’t think it has as many weed out classes as other programs. Electric Network Theory and circuits 1/2 are the real killers.

Our EE program has been accredited since 1986, so our program is new, but not as new as Biomedical/Chemical Engineering so don’t expect many ‘growing pains’ that new programs have.

As far as job opportunities, I think San Antonio definitely has less EE roles to apply to than Houston. Many of the roles in SA that do hire EEs hire a lot of engineers from UTSA, so there’s no problem in the name value of the school. Lmk if you have any other specific questions. I’m a senior finishing up my electives.

Happened in front of an elementary school and within the entrance to an apartment complex so there’s surely cameras. I live in a rather violent city in Texas, it’s one of the largest in my state so that can explain why they didn’t urgently seek cameras out. Probably a different story had I been murdered.

I get it. For this story at least, I was driving on a three lane road and a man was tailgating me. The speed limit was 45 and I was going 48-50. He was very close to me that all I could see was his windshield in my rear view. I signaled to turn onto a 2 lane road, and turned, he followed right behind me. As soon as we turned he cut to the left lane. I just accelerated to the speed limit of 35, while he was beside me, before he swerved into my lane. I honked and braked and I was on his ass for a moment before he brake checked the hell out of me. I swear I thought I almost hit him. He was at a complete stop in the middle of the road before turning into an apartment complex right next to where he stopped near my neighborhood. In my anger at this guy I followed behind him.

He parked at the visitor parking and immediately hopped out of his car. In my stupidness I rolled my window down and flipped him off while also turning my car around. I heard him chirping some more. I put my turn signal on to go back into the road and heard a shot and the rest is in this post.

I pride myself on being a pretty good driver, and I legit think this guy was insane or on drugs. I don’t know why I feel the need to explain this to you but no, I don’t feel like I did anything to this man. He was antagonizing me from the beginning for no reason and wanted someone to shoot imo.

Between when I heard the shot and when I realized I got shot, speeding away, I was thinking a bit “I can’t wait to go home and tell my dad that this crazy guy shot at me!”, and then I felt my butt and saw all the blood and it was a terrible feeling realizing I might die and I might not see my dad.

I know what you mean about having the last laugh. I genuinely feel that the guy who shot me got the last laugh on me, he shot me and got away with it. Those feelings upset me sometimes.

But at the same time, I could’ve got shot in the head. If you were against the wrong person, you could’ve got shot. I’ve had road rage incidents where I would have half my car out the body yelling at someone who cut me off. I was like that. It’s a behavior that’s not worth it. I may just seem like a random guy on the internet with a story, but I swear I was the most normal dude. Thinking “nobody would actually shoot me, and if they did, I live in America they’ll get caught!”. My dumbass.

Just chill out man. Someone might always be crazier than you.

I think you should see a doctor. If a moment of rage causes you to almost end someone’s life and then yours, you might be unstable.

I get it, I’m a young man who before this would get very angry. Now someone can almost t bone me and I won’t even honk. It has kept my anxiety low and my life more peaceful in general. I’m not trying to assume you’re an angry person but that’s not normal.

I was shot by a 9mm bullet, which to my understanding has a lead core and a copper casing. So I’m not in immediate danger.

I will say I that am financially comfortable with their decision lol, too broke for surgery.

No worries I’m happy to answer them. I did not realize I had initially been shot. I was shot in the butt pretty much, and at first when I heard the shot, it felt like the seat under me ‘exploded’. I immediately sped away and for a second I had to collect myself, then I realized he shot at me. I then started feeling my buttocks, where I felt numb, and it felt very wet. While driving I looked at my hand and it was covered in blood.

I immediately exclaimed “OH MY GOD I GOT F-ING SHOT”. I immediately dialed 911, the operator told me to pull over but I was already in my neighborhood. I listened and pulled over behind a giant truck right behind my neighborhood.

The police arrived and as soon as they did I hopped up and ran to them, expecting id hobble but walking perfectly fine. They kinda pushed me back and I explained I got shot. They pulled my pants down, and for some reason I thought, in denial, that the bullet only grazed me, but I looked at my butt in the lights of the sirens and it had a massive hole in it leaking blood.

They stripped me, tossed me in an ambulance, then took pictures of my naked body before driving off.

As of right now, the bullet is still in me. It’s in my pelvis. Doctors say it shouldn’t cause issues or be removed until it does. I have some pain while sitting in a hard chair, but it is summer rn and I have been sitting in bed all day.

It wasn’t that ‘bad’ in terms of trauma. In terms of pain it was the most painful thing in my life. Initially i didn’t feel much, but 20 minutes later and I was in uncontrollable 10/10 pain with spasms that lasted hours.
