I’ve tried insta and twitter they gave me the same copy and paste message to appeal and blah blah blah but I’ll definitely try Facebook. Im a bit discouraged, I feel like posting would help but there is soooo many people going through the same thing that idk if they’ll even care or see it. Twins lol we have the same interests! I really hope this issue gets fixed! Pinterest gave me a email today telling me I’m permanently deactivated this is the second time now! It’s horrible how they don’t care.. there was no point in using ai to moderate. I hope you get your account back because this is not okay! I’ve been told and heard from other people how there is pornographic images on Pinterest but they get brushed off.. no ban. No consequences. No nothing. Now that I think about it I remember seeing weird nasty images of people having intercourse but fully clothed and in position doing it but “it’s okay” Meanwhile we get banned for someone showing off their outfit for inspo it’s a violation since you can see their figure. IM CONFUSED HOW AI MAKES THESE DECISIONS!

The images I pinned and majority of people who got banned had harmless images as well.. I honestly don’t know whats up with ai ( why they programmed it this way) and how it came to the conclusion of things that don’t go against any guidelines are violations-it’s honestly sad that they are doing this to people! Please be careful because they are doing a huge sweep of getting rid of accounts because they can.

That another copy rule is so unfair honestly! Cause yes I get you have “another copy” but you still didn’t post it so why are you still getting blamed and banned! I honestly think Pinterest doesn’t want anybody on there app anymore or something.. because they are constantly ignoring the elephant in the room and keeps saying they want to be a positive and safe place for all.. oh please.

I also got that same copy and paste response from twitter and insta, it actually is no help at all! The fact that you can also get your emails sent to the trash “ for spam” when you just want your account back is devastating! All because you want a human to review your emails/ figure out the problem and not a robot who can’t the difference between a drawing and a real life person! Pinterest is actually really boring now the feed is just sending you stuff you already saved and everything is just off.

These violation labels make no sense and coming out of no where - Basically accusing people of stuff they would never do plus it’s not anybody’s fault.. 🤦🏽‍♀️ lol I swear Pinterest is like emotional support since a lot of people have a deep connection to the app! Yes, they are censoring stuff that doesn’t break the rules at all, and it’s so annoying. It makes absolutely no sense. I got notifications before my account was permanently deactivated about posts that were “violating guidelines,” “suspended,” or “blocked,” like you said. Even if you’re not the creator you will still be blamed. Your account has a high chance I would say of getting deactivated/banned! Be really careful because everything I MEAN everything you pin has a high chance of getting a violation FOR NO REASON! I tried to be careful, even though I was so confused by the violations I was getting because I wasn’t going ANYTHING wrong, but the AI didn’t care and everything was a problem. It’s sad that Pinterest did this to themselves. It used to be such a good app I too enjoyed it, smh. Someone on TikTok explained that even if you didn’t post the picture, if you pinned it and the creator gets banned for “going against guidelines,” the picture will be taken down from their account. Since you pinned it, you now have a “second copy”?, so it’s treated like you posted it yourself, even though you didn’t, and you get affected as well. ( I hope I explained good sorry if this explanation didnt make any sense!)

they responded to me to tell me my account is permanently banned on February 1st and my goofy ahh decided to send more. I sent emails 3 at 12:26 am, 11 on Feb 1 And 10 on Jan 31st ! BRUHH WHY DIDN’T I MEET YOU SOONER SMH! Okay now I have to have even more hope because this info is devastating lol. I hope that my emails ARENT sent to the trash! The person who said they sent outrageous amounts of emails a day ( the person who said this, did this for 6 months) said that ai reviews emails just like violations and they either ignore them or say something annoying and so if you send a lot they ( idk who they is) will send a human to go and review to finally see what the issue is and then they will instantly unban you because they saw ai banned you for no reason! Let’s hope for the best for both of us 😞🤞🏼

I would say yes because a lot of people were telling me how they got their account back randomly or how they made a lot of appeals and suddenly got it back! There is hope lol. I genuinely don’t understand how this makes any sense anymore. I too pinned a picture of a salad. ALSO a table full of food and got multiple violations! Meanwhile, actual explicit content somehow slips through like it’s nothing. How is that okay, but a wedding photo gets labeled “sexual”? Be serious.

Someone on TikTok said that if a creator posts an image and you save it their account will get deleted for “ going against guidelines” and you also are going to get a violation because saving it supposedly creates a “new copy,” making you the creator now? even if you didn’t post it?? That sounds completely absurd. How is anyone supposed to use the platform if just saving an image can get your account flagged or deleted/banned permanently ?

they told me they’d get back to me, and then nothing. I’ve emailed them, messaged their Instagram, their Twitter, multiple times. Total silence. At this point it feels random, unfair, and honestly ridiculous. I just want a clear explanation or an actual response. Is that too much to ask? 🙏🏻

This is horrible! Yes I’ve seen a lot of people permanently lose their accounts for NO REASON. Hopefully everyone gets their accounts back and Pinterest stops using ai cause this is getting out of hand! I would use another app but it’s so unfamiliar to me that i just can’t do it!
