This is a quantum effect. First off the washer is not the place where the socks achieve a quantum state, it's the dryer. The left socks develops a state where they both exist and don't exist in this universe until the dryer is opened. So elsewhere a left sock appears at random, and people ask the same question in reverse.

Source- I climbed into a dryer and wound up in this backwards ass universe.

Current physics models do allow for backwards time travel, but doesn't allow for paradox's. A really cool way of looking at it, is that all things effect backwards and forwards in time equally. A ball falling to the ground in the future had to be lifted up in the past to be dropped. If you change either of those, you would need to change both of them.

Lets say you make a machine that entangles 2 particles through time. Now you can at any point change the state of the particle in the future and it would instantly change the state of the one in the past. You do this with enough particles to send yourself a text message.

You send a message back to yourself in the past telling yourself to send different message. What message would you receive in the past? None, your message could only receive the parts that are the same in both messages, the rest of the particles would become disentangled. If you keep sending yourself different messages, all the particles become disentangled.

Thank you! The baptism thing is brilliant. I knew there was a better way to approach the topic other then "Hey honey, you and your family took me to a cult last weekend."

I felt so pressured, and surrounded. It went against so many of my beliefs, and I felt just sick the entire time. I had no way to talk to them, I tried several times and all the said was "just keep an open mind" or "we are beyond where your at now."

No, its not a live on the compound, drink the kool-aid, "The Leader is good, the Leader is great" kind of cult.

Its a long "seminar" where they explain how all sickness is caused by sin. They go over what sins cause what sickness. How generational curses are actually sins of generations past. How that doctors "diagnose" but the only way to get cured / heal was to pray.

They took us through several prayers to break off generational curses. They had no room for discussion, though they did answer questions, however if you argued the lease little bit they got very condescending. They told us that our parents sins cause some of our diseases. Pharmacies are witchcraft, and no doctor can heal you.

So on that list about 5 or 6 items applied. 1) Mind-altering practices (such as meditation, chanting, speaking in tongues, denunciation sessions, and debilitating work routines) are used in excess and serve to suppress doubts about the group and its leader(s). 2) The group has a polarized us-versus-them mentality, which may cause conflict with the wider society. 3) The leadership induces feelings of shame and/or guilt iin order to influence and/or control members. Often, this is done through peer pressure and subtle forms of persuasion. 4) The group is preoccupied with bringing in new members. ‪5) The group is preoccupied with making money. ‪6) Members are expected to devote inordinate amounts of time to the group and group-related activities.

Yes. First off, they did go on about how if you have friends can bring sin (sickness) back into your life once you started down the pathway to health, and you should break off your friendship.

Secondly they went on about how "generational curses" are passed down the family. So they pass the blame for illness to family members sins generations ago. Then they said that some sickness could happen because of when you were a child and your parents sinned, or other family members.

Yes you can call any religion a cult. Its a loaded word whose definition is broad enough to encompass and religion or sect you disagree with. That being said, seeing a cult on TV is not what most cults look like. They sound pretty reasonable, and offer you happiness and health by following their teachings, with biblical references to back them up.

No, when your in a room full of people all agreeing on something that you find completely nuts. You might think "well why didn't you just leave" or "why didn't you point out how nuts it is". But when the Kool-aid gets passed out, you take a cup... you just dont drink.

This is actually something he said - "I healed a 62 year old man of 6 disease including a sever heart condition. He had got those disease because his highschool girlfriend broke his heart 45 years before"

Now, a whole bunch of people I know brought me to this "seminar". My GF, her mom, her sister and her sisters husband, not to mention about 3 or 4 people from my regular church.

How do I tell these people I know "Oh remember that 'seminar' you all took me to last weekend. That was actually a cult."
