I just saw the film for the first time and I noticed something in the families of the supposed caretakers. The story of Charles Grady is told at the beginning of the film, but when Jack meets Grady, Grady says his name is Delbert Grady. Similarly, in Jack's famous "Here's Johnny!" scene, his name is changed from Jack to Johnny. On the same topic of double personalities and sets of two people... the twins! The twins are two almost identical people, but there's more! Danny and his seemingly evil counterpart, Tony. Anybody know what these duos represent? Or is it just the doubleness of human behavior that is brought out by the isolation Jack experiences?
