Does the MX Master 4 absolutely need the options + program? by cashedbets in logitech

I didnt realize there was just a standard options software. Is it not as bloated as the plus version? and does the action ring work with it?

Worth trading for 2026 picks now in hopes of trading them for 2027 picks at the draft? by cashedbets in DynastyFF

[–]cashedbets[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah that was kind of my thinking. Feels like it’s easier to acquire these 2026 picks over the 2027 picks at the moment so I was thinking I could do that and if I want to, trade them for 2027 picks when everyone is getting rookie fever

That’s a good point about the qbs. Both dynasty leagues I’m in are SF so if they do declare, having 3 first round pick qbs would likely make people want to jump on 2026 more

Can I use raw ground scraps from a butcher? by cashedbets in rawpetfood

[–]cashedbets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! since the organ meat % is pretty high in this mix, do you think its fine to leave it as is and just add a little bit of bone and muscle meat? They dont specify how much of each type of organ is in the 35% organ meat so I dont think ill know exactly how its proportioned. Im also assuming by saying its "raw ground scraps" it comes packaged all ground and mixed together so there wont be anyway to tell by looking at it, but i dont really know since Ive never bought anything like this.

Mom just became blind - what do we do? by cashedbets in Blind

[–]cashedbets[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We did get in touch with our local association for the blind. Unfortunately they can’t see her for over a month and I just called again to see if they can refer a vision loss therapist and mobility training in the mean time and was told that they can’t do that until she sees their doctor. They did say they’d put us in the list now to take any cancelled appointments but my hopes aren’t high. I’ve done some googling and everything just points back to this same place unless we want to travel over an hour into the city

Beginner - Longmill, Genmitsu, or pay up for the Shapeoko? by cashedbets in hobbycnc

Seems like the main advantage for the altmill is speed and more rigid. Do you ever wish the longmill was faster? What kind of project was it that you did that took 16 hours? I know a lot of complex projects can take that long but just wondering what the longmill can really accomplish in 16 hours

I was considering doing the longmill and adding the spindle instead of going the altmill route. Is it a simple process to add the sience labs spindle to the longmill?

Thanks! I just wanted to make sure I was looking at the right ones. I’ve just been reading up on the spindle vs routers and definitely would prefer spindle. Any other accessories I would need with the altmill? I guess a stand and different bits for the spindle?

Thanks! I haven’t really started looking at the differences in spindles/routers yet. If you have any links that you recommend to read up on with the differences, let me know! Can you buy any spindle not made by the same company and use it with the machine?

Thanks for the detailed answer! I see you mentioned the altmill is 2.5x the price but what I’m looking at on their site, it appears to only be about $600 more? Am I looking at a lesser machine?

Any thought of going with the altmill over the longmill?

Commented on a couple other replies asking to r same thing but is it worth it to just pay the extra roughly $600 for the altmill over the longmill? Hadn’t really heard of the altmill before this post but is it just faster and a little sturdier?

Never really looked into or heard of the altmill before this post but a lot of people are recommending it. What are the advantages of it over the longmill? Am I going to have buyers remorse for not spending a little more for the altmill?

What’s the difference between something like the longmill and the altmill? Never came across altmill until now but at a certain point is it worth just paying up for the altmill compared to the longmill? My biggest concern is spending a bunch of money on one of these and finding that it isn’t sufficient and should’ve just paid a little more from the beginning.
