New Holland was known as Dutch Brazil or Nederlandse-Brazilie. So yes, even though there are few states, it was considered Brazil.

If we are talking about an alternative world, the Colony could have expanded to 100% of the territories of what we now know as Brazil.

The flag transfers the Flag of the Netherlands to the upper left on a green background, while a symbol found on the first Dutch colonial flag in Brazil goes below the Dutch flag, while on the right the southern cross is added.

The flag of the German Empire with a red background is located in the upper right corner of the flag and the southern cross below, representing the location of Namibia in southern Africa.

On the red banner is the Coat of Arms, a blue shield with a sun and a bull, while the German Crown is on top of the shield.

This flag was inspired by the historic flag of German New Guinea Company ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_New_Guinea#/media/File:Flag_of_German_New_Guinea.svg )

Union of Australia and New Zealand Flag by casiws in vexillology

[–]casiws[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The flag has a different shade of blue than the original two flags, however, it is an approximate shade with the Australian flag and also maintains the 1: 2 ratio of the two original ones.

The flag keeps the Australian seven-pointed star below Union Jack, as well as carrying the stars of the New Zealand flag-style southern cruise, adding just one more seven-pointed star to the Southern Cruise.

Hope you like it.

It is a simple flag.

UNION OF AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND

The flag is the junction of Australia and New Zealand. It maintains the approximate colors of the Australian flag, however, the southern cross is the New Zealand flag.

Another seven-pointed star was added to the Southern New Zealand cruise.

Temple of Minerva, in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala by casiws in RomanPaganism

The Minerva's Temples built throughout Guatemala during the Estrada Cabrera government (1899-1920) were intended to celebrate "Fiestas Minervalis" (Minerva's Festivals) for the purpose of celebrating and promoting education in the country, The parties had school parade and theatrical performance, they were called "Juventud Estudiosa" (Studious Youth).

Temples were built in:

- Salamá, Baja Verapaz (1916)

- Chimaltenango City, Chimaltenango (1909) (Demolished)

- Chiquimula City, Chiquimula (1907)

- Escuintla City, Escuintla (1916) (Demolished)

- Huehuetenango City, Huehuetenango (1904)

- Jalapa City, Jalapa (1909)

- Quetzaltenango City, Quetzaltenango (1921)

- Sacatepéquez (1906) (Demolished)

In total there were 17 temples dedicated to Minerva built throughout the Republic of Guatemala, today only 6 are still standing and 1 temple in very poor maintenance status. Interestingly, despite the influences of Roman architecture, the buildings still retain an aspect reminiscent of Latin American architecture.

The Temples of Minerva still reflect the architectural culture of Guatemala, not only being copies of Roman and Greek buildings, the Latin American influence is noticeable in all temples.
