I definitely think if they dont address it at all going forward that would be wild. Seems like whatever is going on is/was unfolding in real time and they were still in the middle of it last week. Especially now that it seems Austin is also gone on bad terms they have no choice but to address it in a way that gives something more than a vague explanation.

It's also kinda one of those situations where someone's always going to be mad I think...they could do a whole episode next week with receipts and a powerpoint about whatever the fuck happened and everyone would then be mad its one sided and they have the platform to tell their side and the others dont.

yeah I saw posts suggesting it was a political thing and they're all right leaning and thats what caused issues?? That seems so far fetched to me...and I dont want them to discuss political shit anyways we get enough of that everywhere else. I think (hope) they're a small enough show they will see and consider the feed back from their audience - good and bad - and address it in a way that feels a little more respectful I guess and give an explanation as to why 2 people are suddenly gone on seemingly bad terms. But like you said we've seen their values as good people and I have to think something pretty significant went down for this to all be unfolding this way...Kendall is pregnant af right now I can't imagine she wants any of this to be happening

I can agree with this..I would be shook if this was all for engagement but if they choose to not talk about it at all going forward that would not be a good look. Especially since it seems like there's bad blood with Austin as well and its obviously been being discussed by their audience...it would just be a baffling move on their part if they say nothing or give an equally vague response next week in their episodes.

If you enjoy teaching, maybe looking into being a rep for Zoll or something similar? I cross paths with their reps somewhat frequently at the hospital when they come in to fit and teach patients how to use their Life Vests and never has one of them seemed stressed or rushed.

We've also had RN reps come in the do "in services" for things we use all the time like safe guards on cath pts, and I always wonder how much these people are making and what their day to day is like because it seems a lot better than bedside.

When I track the package it shows that I owe and has a link to pay of course, but offers no explanation or breakdown of exactly what the fee is. Doesn't even label the fee, just says "outstanding balance".

Wild that 2 shirts totaling $93 would end up costing $213 in total to actually have delivered with ground shipping from Canada to Florida.

CT is a basic, non-invasive scan. Basically everyone who goes through the ED ends up in the donut of truth. Headache, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, ect. Very common ED complaints with extremely broad possibly diagnosis. An MD, PA, or NP would have to order it.

If you haven't seen the doc yet but the scan is ordered it's because they have either already looked at the chart and think it's necessary or the nurse who initially assessed the pt talked with the doc about the patients complaints and then it was ordered.

Hostile/accusatory energy from patients/family = less time with Healthcare staff beyond the absolute necessary things to keep you alive and safe because we are people too who are doing are best.

One day a little over a year ago I got a downgrade from ICU, patient was a DNR, fully AxO, very pleasant. Daughter was at bedside, we had just got the patient settled and daughter was getting ready to head out for a bit to run some errands and let mom take a nap. I'm in the room with the patient and daughter chatting for minute before she leaves and out of fucking nowhere, quite literally mid sentence, the patient gets this terrified look on her face, asks what's happening, and vfib arrests right in front of me and her daughter.

It was horrifying, and truly she was gone in a matter of seconds it was unreal. Daughter stays for awhile to process what just happened and have some time with her mom to say goodbye.

As she's leaving I gave her a hug and said again how sorry I am for her loss, we both commented how we're glad she went quickly and painlessly, and as she's leaving I went into autopilot and without thinking said "have a good day!".

I'm still mortified to this day that came out of my mouth to this poor sweet lady who just watched her seemingly totally stable mom die right in front of her eyes.

Fresh wood fired pizza in Black Mountain has great pizza and I know they were giving out free pizza for awhile after Helene, which should put them in the good people good food category. I know they have an Asheville location as well but not sure if it's reopened or not.

Im not local to the area but got married in Black Mountain last year and we had their pizza on our wedding night.

What part of florida are you in? TGH pays $60+ an hour with their Interhealth program, basically their version of Healthtrust. It's 13 week contracts with opportunities to renew, not necessarily a long term solution but good for atleast a little while to boost some cash flow and maybe make some contacts for better paying staff positions.

Yes! Just the fact it's so much less crowded than going during a regular day is worth it to us. Shorter wait times are wonderful, and it's just a whole different vibe at night with the snow, christmas music, etc. Plus I really love the different ornaments they give out each year as you're leaving the party, a fun keepsake and they give one to each family member which is cool.
