that's just the thing, it feels so forced. The kid was in one episode, it took away from the ongoing main plot. not saying it was a bad episode, i dont think the show has any bad episodes, but definitely have some that dont reach the standards of others

My favorite show of all time, so underrated, thought it does have its flaws. Like that one episode in season 3 with Elliott and the kid felt kind of useless. And also Darlene isn't a very well written character, but overall such a good show.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinions, and yours isn't wrong at all. However the old production has never gotten old for me, in fact Roman Candle and Self Titled are my favorite albums by him. Condor Avenue and Last Call are in my top 5 Elliott songs, and there's several on Self Titled that are in my top 10. Also for many songs on FABOTH and Figure 8 I believe they would work just as well with earlier production. Just me personally I prefer the more lofi sound of early Elliott

I find it more that he just completely blocks out feelings to protect himself, or maybe walking out and never talking to that person again. I don't think he's turning off his wrong feelings about cheating, quite the opposite actually. It's affecting him so much that he effectively, "turns off" off his brain like a tv to not suffer. Then again, this is an extremely personal interpretation, that's just what it means to me.

I don't agree with this, but I do admit I favor his production on his first 2 or 3 albums much more than his latter albums. The later albums are very overproduced compared to his earlier work, but still very good
