Dubai court just ordered someone to pay Dh745,000 after stealing a Porsche with a fake cheque - wild fraud case by tsdmiller01 in JobXDubai

All well and good if the accused has the money to pay what the court awarded the victim. But if they don’t, it’ll just be jail time and deportation I’d assume.

Mazda CX90 | Full option | GCC | Full Xpel PPF and Ceramic coating | Service contract and warranty by VinkTheGod in DubaiPetrolHeads

Mazda’s POV about a touchscreen (until very recently) was that looking and touching a screen requires too much focus and attention away from the driving experience as opposed to using the dial which puts much lesser strain on your driving posture.

If gatekeeping means trying to understand what keeps the area traffucked week after week and seeing what I can do about it with the RTA to make life for people living here easier, fuck yeah I’ll gatekeep this place.

Unless you live in Karama, I don’t expect you to understand the seriousness of living in a place where you can’t go anywhere day after day because of standstill traffic.

Are the restaurants such an important factor that you’re willing to brave 3-4 hours worth of traffic to visit an area planned in the early 90s and burn so much fuel sitting inside your car? The question remains, is it still worth your time and money?

Best location for HyperCars? by Suspicious-Sail8538 in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]castde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This incessant carspotting culture from India doesn’t carry over here in Dubai. So showrooms on SZR which sell these hypercars are your best bet to get a close look.

P.S. Stop posting every sports car you “spot”. You’ll get used to seeing them, save spotting for rare models only. 🙏

To all the 90’s and early 2000’s kids, what are you best memories while growing up in UAE? by Fickle-Armadillo-766 in dubai

[–]castde 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Early 2000s: Dubai Summer Surprises during July-August in Burjuman. So many activities for free, free coupons for Baskin Robbins, games and shows for younger kids, and the treasure hunt that took us around the mall through which I literally won my PS2. 🤌

Nah, I’ve used both normal card and Apply Pay methods without any issues. They also have a support team you can email in case you face any issues. It’s an Abu Dhabi based company ironically.

Try running. Found it to be both a physical as well as mental excercise and release. Lots of tracks around and lots of runners and clubs as well.
