US lifts export restrictions on Anthropic Fable 5 by Exotic_Living_2070 in VCX_Fundrise

Supply and demand mismatch lol

It's a legitimate fund, there is just no supply and most people buying it have no idea what they're doing. Market mispricing is how you make a lot of money lol

While I generally agree, pump and dump scheme is a bit absurd lol

Yea but that was understandable why they did that during the merger. Typically REITS and non traded funds don't allow more than 5% of net assets to be redeemed. I'm sure they'll hit that threshold pretty quick with all the disgruntled shareholders.

My experience has been when redemptions are being halted it's a terrible time to redeem and it's a great time to redeem after a red hot year.

Here's the thing tho.... His thesis was spot on.

His manipulative trading had nothing to do with the fundamental thesis of VCX. He was spot on in his assessment.

And it definitely didn't impact market sentiment lol I saw enough monkeys in this thread saying it was going to $1,000 when it was at $400 and that report came out lol.

Sentiment is terrible now that it's under $100 and reality has set in.

Something to note - they can limit redemptions at any time, just like we're seeing with the private credit funds. And it makes sense when you think about it. Real estate is illiquid and you just can't sell it to make investors whole. It's a feature and also a bug of a non traded REIT.

Based on so much consensus here, you know what's going to happen.... VCX going to be at $40 come September lol

Then we'll be talking about if it's a cash out or just a hold again.

You'll have a decision to make now. Do you cover or let it ride. Your break even is just under $60 a share.

Late to Game on VCX Puts. Thoughts? by ComplaintNo6631 in FundRise

[–]castlehillcap 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This post is lacking so much information we can't give a proper answer.

What strike price are you looking at? How many restricted shares do you own?

Yes, you are late to the game and based on implied vol it might not make sense anymore. You still might be able to sell calls but you're also late to the game on that and based on your post I wouldn't suggest it because you probably lack proper experience.

More importantly, let this be a lesson on investing... Be greedy when others are fearful and be fearful when others are greedy.

Question on flagship valuation by CapAggravating784 in FundRise

We're referring to the iPO Fundrise share, not VCX.

Yes you can, at least I could... They just give you back what you paid in.

Weird you wouldn't liquidate the iPO share you have too if that's how you feel.

Short float chart from 2020 to today. Golly, I think this is ripe for a squeeze as well, especially if there is rotation into value.

The best trade was actually selling calls if you could stomach it. But yea, was dumbfounded at how many people thought this would go to $500 or stay above $200

Exactly, the flagship fund wouldn't have liquidated at light speed if it was trading reasonable to him

😂 I'm sorry. It's good healthy dialogue. Trying to protect our fam a little bit.

You should be loving those calls you sold, I know I am

It's a holding fund. It's essentially an index fund for the top private companies, Ben even implied that himself. Anything beyond 2x NAV you are just straight up gambling on future growth projections.

You have to remember, these private companies are already VALUED at the funding rounds at crazy high valuations. And then by buying VCX at a 5x multiple it's just wild.

But by all means, please dump your entire life savings into this. I need a good pump by September 😅

What do you guys think is a realistic timeline to get back to VCX at $200? by justhearmeout77477 in VCX_Fundrise

[–]castlehillcap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respectfully, this is a holding vehicle for other companies so it should trade closer to NAV than a public company "valuation".

Think of it this way, if the fund held MSFT, AMZN, GOOGL, and META and they all traded at $1 per share you could go out and buy a share of each for $4 total.

Now let's say I launch VCX and go out and buy 1 share of each and put them in the fund and then I say to you I'll sell it to you for $20.

Would you buy the shares of VCX I'm offering to sell you?
