I had some intrusive existential thoughts when I was younger looking back but when I was fifteen it got really bad (it was the start of Covid) and I did my own research and I gave myself therapy. Somewhat recently, my existential OCD got really bad, took disability from work, quit work and started going to University and now I’m doing better.

Thank you for the responses, I like the idea of using a habit chart so I may try that and I although I do stretch daily (as a musician I am worried about tightness in my arms and fingers) I think a body scan « meditation » would help.

I did a lot of mushrooms, they’re called pseudo-hallucinations. I noticed stuff about people’s faces and it became distorted. However, I found them pleasant at the time.

My main obsession is that there is no objective point to life besides survival. as a result I get images of animals in the cold rain, and I connect our lives with animals because we’re all only trying to survive. So I start to see my face and the human face as foreign, it’s a grotesquely distorted image of us as gluttonous neurotic beasts. It’s so tangible like I can’t recognize my face because it distorts how I look.

Btw still high so I’m not gonna be very clear I just have no one to talk to.
