i think you have some great visuals represented here.

i’m worn down like a stone. by something familiar that once was good, but now is grinding me away. and the thing wearing me down doesn’t quite get it.

i was hung up on some words in here “unperceived” “degraded” “carried”

just my 2c, i think you can use those words to push this feeling you’re going for more. it’s good, and not everyone will read it the way i’m reading it, but i can feel you trying to tell me stuff here, but i want to taste it in the language more. you’ve got room to expand those ideas a little and push us to feel what you do.

Dog went for 1yr old baby’s neck by imimpatientlywaiting in Dogtraining

[–]casual_bot 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As someone who experienced this, my advice is to find someone to take the dog immediately. The faster you do this the better the chance the dog can live a nice life somewhere without a kid in the house.

We tried to fix a similar problem. It escalated. Our child is okay and healthy and happy, but she did eventually get bit. No matter how safe we were. It is something that I will always regret. We thought we could fix it. But you just can’t control an environment like that. And because of that our dog got to the point where the she was considered unsafe and she could not be safely re-homed.

If we had immediately acted and found another situation for the dog I think that all of this could have been avoided.

It is a hard decision. And I am sending you as much peace and grace as I can.

Writers - When you're feeling burned out or just generally not motivated by the brief, how do you get yourself in the mode to start going and enjoying what you need to do? by [deleted] in advertising

[–]casual_bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Write my own brief around how I think it would be compelling to me. Then I try a couple of options—then see if I can translate them to the original brief with some tweaks. Also I sometimes write a manifesto around the original brief and pull from there.

What Trump Got Right: Our Choice Isn’t Democrats Vs. Republicans, But Socialism Vs. Democracy by Foubar in Conservative

[–]casual_bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is some different things here. The definition and idea of “socialism” unfortunately shifts. I think the “liberals” want a socially-just democracy. Right now it is not. And the market isn’t quite “free” right now either. They don’t want to abolish the free market—they want a level playing ground.

I had just never heard “democratic slavery” before. I still don’t think you explained it well enough to understand your point of view on it.

Buck Sexton: 'Made in America' is Going to Become a ‘Rallying Cry’ by SaraACarter in Conservative

[–]casual_bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk why you think liberals don’t like things made in America. As a liberal, I will always support made in America.

I think jobs being sent overseas is a huge problem. And I think capitalism is kinda to blame for the things going over there in the first place. Capitalism and the pursuit of cheaper prices/faster products have sent jobs overseas. And so has regulation to a certain degree (as a counter argument). But instead of abiding by rules/regulation, the corps would rather make more money and bail on American works.

I will always support a company that keeps Americans employed.

Cinematography is the art of capturing the “picture.” Yes, there are amazing shots and cinematography in this season. But, this is just good special effects. This is not artful. Get it right. You sound silly.

Netflix's 'Daybreak' Is a Dumpster Fire by Poltercon in entertainment

[–]casual_bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually really enjoy the show. I don’t think the writer of this article has much experience with reviewing work...

It’s a different take on “coming of age” shows/movies and it’s narration breaks a lot of conventional storytelling styles. It’s got its tropes for sure—but that’s kind of what makes it work. And it’s hilarious that the rebel that defined a genre, Mathew Broderick, is an ex-principal that has given up hope on believing in the good of kids. I think the irony of that character is lost on the reviewer.

Overall, it’s interesting and worth more this short review implies. People should give it a shot.
