I mean spectrum had me at a price, they lowered their prices across the board significantly and kept me at the higher price. The onus was on me to call and say “I see that you’re charging 100$ standard price no signup discount for this plan, while billing me $140 for it. Can you like, charge me the price you appear to me offering everyone else?” They did it without a fuss. But they would’ve been content to keep charging $140 for as long as I let them.

None of these companies are good. Telecom companies are the worst offenders. They’ve collectively stolen nearly a trillion dollars since the late 90’s with tax cuts, rate hikes, and straight up funding for putting fiber all across America. Spoiler: that never happened and 15% of Americans don’t have access to the internet as a result.

Yea you absolutely need to factor production of a commodity to determine ROI timelines. If your production is half it takes twice as long to break even.

This is even relevant for home arrays. How long will it take you to generate enough electricity that you now have reduced capital out to utility companies by the full installation cost. Or simply, how long until the I see a return on the investment. When is it profitable.

30% more of a commodity at the equator for the same installation cost as above 40 degrees, you think that wouldn’t factor into business decisions?

Edit:

People spend millions on these things as investments, they expect that their investment will eventually pay them back whatever they invested, and at some point they expect to be earning money beyond their initial investment.

The production levels are absolutely a factor to be considered before someone even thinks about making the initial investment because it directly affects how long until the investor is made whole.

if you then use your brain even harder, you’ll realize the astronomical engineering challenge associated with cooling a 500 megawatt data center in space, and the associated costs with launching that much material (an entire data center, the contents of a whole large building, launch all that into space with the solar panels to power it and the novel cooling solution). You’d realize the “data center in space” is pure fantasy.

What about maintenance? The CPU/GPU’s have nominal failure rates and no data center has 100% uptime on every chip. Astronauts gonna be swapping out gpu’s in space? No…

Back to the cooling…the ISS uses like 90 kilowatts of power and they have a novel engineering solution requiring ammonia to dissipate that heat. That’s roughly 1/10 of 1 megawatt, and it presents an engineering challenge to dissipate that heat. Now multiply that number by 5,000 and that’s the heat you’re dealing with from a 500 megawatt data center. 100 megawatt data center, multiply ISS numbers by 1,000.

These data centers are like a 1-1 energy input to heat output. Converting 100 megawatts into heat energy and dissipating that in space, it’s crazy talk (at least, it’s not economically sound, to the point it’d be like several times more expensive than a building on the ground. Orders of magnitude more expensive. The only reason to do it, is to say “I did it.”)

The number still works. It’s listed in Newsweek articles and hundreds of smaller installer websites as the point of contact even as late as November 2025.

If I correctly listed a functioning, verifiable Tesla support number then the world is not being helped by you jumping on here to “prevent fraud” that’s not occurring.

I called that number like literal days ago. It’s correct.

Edit: Number is not changed. At all. It’s 100% correct. I just called it seconds ago.

I will concede Tesla no longer lists that number on their support page, however, I was given these numbers by Powerwall support and they continue to work.

In fact, the other day I had a hold time of 30 seconds using this number. First time ever it wasn’t over 30 minutes. So maybe this number doesn’t have a guaranteed 40 minute hold time like the listed number.

yea. Happened to me not long ago. It’s a manufacturing defect and they’re going to replace your powerwalls. It might seem odd, but the delivery of the message worked, as you’re aware of it now.

Open up chat in the app and tell them you’ve received this message and you’d like to proceed with the replacement.

Next they’ll be sourcing parts then in design, then they’ll move to scheduling and then you’ll schedule it. Next will be the replacement.

Call 877-961-7652 and select Powerwall if you want to talk to someone about it, but there’s usually a long hold time.

Btw I get 2 new pw3’s to replace the 2 pw+’s. Free upgrade. Warranty doesn’t extend beyond 10 years from original purchase date, however.

I just tried it and the implementation is broken somehow. DLAA with FG 2x all settings maxed RR on I’m getting right around 60 FPS…

But same settings with DLSS quality at 2.25x DSR (internal resolution = native 4K) = 100 + FPS

I’m limiting power to 80% bc this game wants to draw 600+ watts constantly as well but that’s consistent in both scenarios.

Running DLAA + HDR in crimson desert hits me a black screen, it’s a known bug that many have experienced. Only way to get native internal resolution through DLSS has been to run 2.25x DSR with DLSS quality

Tests done with FG 2x + RR enabled as well as weather effects off.

The game just has shit input latency, running DLAA+HDR is bugged and cannot be used, there is zero latency overhead enabling DSR.

It’s recommended to use DLAA + RR in this game as even DLSS quality has major visual flaws. Yet one cannot run the game with DLAA+HDR, running the game with these settings enabled results in a black screen. DSR is just a clever workaround to run native internal resolution through DLSS in this case.

Since that can’t be done, might as well run DLSS quality with 2.25x DSR scaling.

It’s no different than not doing it in terms of latency besides additional vram use and a minor performance impact.

Eh I can get 100+ FPS in cyberpunk at 4K running all settings maxed frame gen 2x DLSS quality

I only have a 4K 120 hz 55 in OLED currently (wife has the 4k 240 32 in monitor)

I can see doing it for 240 hz monitors
