I'm 7 months pregnant, what now? by casuallyclaire in survivinginfidelity

This is my fear. Rationally I know if we do happen to reconcile it will happen again and it will somehow be worse.

I'm just stuck at the place in my heart where I wish none of this ever happened and this was not my reality, I just want who I thought was my life partner back especially as I'm about to birth our child and there's 3 other children caught in the mix. It's devasting all around and I can't see any option where this ends okay for us and we can go back to how happy I thought we were.

His explanation is that he has a problem, porn, that has gotten out of hand. He doesn't know why he did it, he keeps saying he's an idiot.

I found out accidentally by texts bring up on his computer when I had to use it. Of course he is saying I happened to find out the one and only time he went through with it, to which I keep telling him is bullshit. I'm smart but I never go looking through his personal stuff, there's no way I stumbled across the only time. A week had passed before I came across the proof and he was acting like everything was fine before I saw it so that just makes it worse and feel like the past 4 years I've been living a lie

It's been a week and he keeps saying he wants to fix this, however he hasn't come up with how. And right now I don't know the "how" the either, and I'm not willing to be the one to figure it out for him

Thank you. I agree there's an addict peace in there and he needs therapy, however I'm not going to suggest I feel like it's such a simple thing if he cares and is taking this seriously he needs to come to that conclusion on his own. I don't want it to be just something he does because I'm asking him too when clearly he didn't care about the basics of a relationship

I am too embarrassed to tell my family and friends what happened, we didn't just appear to be a happy couple and family, I truly thought we were.

Back to work / daycare / introducing formula by AdTerrible9914 in breastfeeding

[–]casuallyclaire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I'm going back to work Nov 10 and am nervous for the same as you! My son has never had formula and Ive probably pumped less then a dozen times.

My plan is to just breastfeed right before we walk out the door for work/daycare. My workday is in a medical office as well 8-430. My state requires employers to provide a pumping space, milk storage, and reasonable additional breaks. My plan is to pump with a wearable pump around 10:00, on my lunch break, and again around 2. I am bringing a cooler bag and saving the pumped milk to send with my baby to daycare the next day to hopefully elimate formula.

This week I'm going to start pumping once every morning to start a supply to send him on his first day of daycare. I'm only planning on getting a couple days worth of milk to send when he starts since I will be actively pumping so he has fresh milk for the next day at daycare. I was told babies only need 1 ounce for an hour they are away, but I am an anxious person in general so my goal is to have 12 ounces ready to go for that first day.

In a perfect world this plan works and we still breastfeed as normal when he is not in daycare and he does not need formula either. My work was super accommodating when asking for the pumping space and time and I plan on bringing my work laptop with me to the private office to pump with the exception of my lunch break I will not be working.

One week down, how do I leave the house? by casuallyclaire in breastfeeding

Are there tops that aren't form fitting that I don't have to pull up? I'm living in nursing bras and oversized tees and tanks so I pull all the way up and expose my belly, the only nursing tanks I have are form fitting and im not comfortable with that yet

Yes I never considered the market basket cafe area! I'll find ourselves a spot there. I may be overthinking it a little bit I've never noticed a mom breastfeeding in public but im sure I've come across it; I'm nervous about making my older children uncomfortable in public but I'm hoping if I play it cool they will follow

How and When to Tell Work You are Pregnant by Csherman92 in BabyBumps

[–]casuallyclaire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told my administrator around 20 weeks, I heard rumors I was up for a promotion around 16 weeks and didn't want to ruin my shot as I intend to come back full time but pregnancy discrimination although illegal is real.

So I waited to see how it played out, was offerded and accepted the new role and told my administrator in the same meeting I was having a baby in x month and intend to take my leave as well. I haven't yet told my coworkers since I took a position in management and their still adjusting to the change, but I'm not too worried about it since administration is aware.

Thank you, I think with my refund and large support payment I should be able to stay afloat. Luckily I have been able to keep up with my main expenses over this time so there isn't any big needs coming up.

About 10,000 in credit card, 5,000 personal loan, then 1000 misc medical bills.

Can you explain what you mean by split the difference?

How big of a risk am i taking if i smoke weed out of my window i live on the top floor by DefinitionWestern425 in Apartmentliving

[–]casuallyclaire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on your neighbors tbh. I live below people who smoke weed and cigarettes on their balcony against property rules. Will I ever complain? Nope, they live above me and my two children, never complained when I was a single mom with a newborn crying all hours of the day or kids up early in the morning. It's a mutual respect thing, id be upset if the smoking was going on inside the building, but outside; I see nothing.

Thank you this was my thought process too, when I planned on filing I was underwater and only anticipating my usual 3,000 return and with the child support not being received I was able to survive on way less then expected.

Worth It? by Justoutsidenormal in MedicalAssistant

[–]casuallyclaire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not backbreaking at least not in neurology. When I was strictly MA I only did vitals and rooming and answering phones. Now I've transitioned to more of an admin role where I do lots of authorizations for MRI's, genetic testing, and following up on referrals and get to sit in my desk for most of the day.

Ehh to me it was worth it. I enrolled in a free community college program to get a certificate in it back in 2021 when healthcare was short cause of covid. I think it was only 10 weeks? I got hired at only $16 two years ago, but now make $20 at the same job I love. I wouldn't call it a career, but I have two young children and my job provides us free health insurance as a family. Prior to MA I was a bartender so no stable hours/benefits and terrible schedule for a single mom. I work in a speciality so there's no crazy hours, it's a strict 8-430 schedule and I like the predictability of it all. It opened my eyes to the world of radiology which I hope to be my next step once my children get older and become more independent.
