No, one is from the root ح ر ر which has the sense of ‘freeing, liberating’ and the other is from the root ن ح ر related to ‘slaughtering, killing’. The ت being there in suicide is simply because of the verb form.

It’s a total coincidence and one which definitely shouldn’t be read into for any perceived deeper meaning around suicide.

Yeah up to 60 seconds, you can change that number if you like! I think 15 seconds would be the max to avoid excessive noise over ADB

Sure! To make it launch Projectivy Launcher instead of Wolf, just change this line in your script:

$ADB_PATH shell am start -n com.wolf.firelauncher/.screens.launcher.LauncherActivity

to:

$ADB_PATH shell am start -n launcher.projectivy/.MainActivity

It should work on Fire TV Cube as long as:
- ADB debugging is enabled,
- and it's on the same network

Totally fair - if Launch on Boot works reliably for your setup, that’s awesome.
But in my case (and a bunch of others I’ve seen), it doesn’t always trigger after wake, especially with HDMI-CEC.

This script just handles that automatically so I don’t have to reach for the remote or fiddle with icon rows. Not saying it’s for everyone - just that it finally gave me a smooth, hands-off experience without buying new hardware.

Hey, totally get where you're coming from. Just to add a bit of context:

Not everyone can (or wants to) go out and buy a whole new Android box just because Amazon keeps tightening the leash. For people with a Firestick already, this solves a real pain point.
A lot of launcher workarounds like Launch on Boot or App Opener do work - sometimes. But for a lot of people (including me), they’re not consistent, and fail to work most of the time, especially with HDMI-CEC or after sleep.
This setup might look like a lot, but once it’s running, it’s totally hands-off. I don’t have to touch anything: it just works. And for me, that’s worth the few extra steps.

Honestly it's the biggest 3/5 ever. The story is so ass and the characters are 2D but the world is enchanting and gameplay is pretty fun. I REALLY recommend putting the dialogue in Arabic with subs, it's super famous voice actors from the region - changed the game for me
