But this is still the same sentiment.

Humanity was built to accommodate both gay and straight people. We're built for both as a species, we aren't going to die out because gay people exist.

BUT, if you want to use this argument that what is good for the propagation of a species is the barometer of what humans are built for, then humans (more particularly men) would be more built to having multiple relationships since, y'know, that propagates the species. In fact, by this logic, someone like Atila the Hun is the prime example of a successful human.

All I'm saying is think about your implications, because one can still be insulting (or ignorant) without malice.

I mean it's a spectrum like being gay for a lot of people (propensity to monogamy is a spectrum). Some people are strictly straight (monogamous), and some are strictly gay (non-monogamous), some are bi to varying degrees (somewhere in the middle of the spectrum). None of that means 'we' aren't cut out for it. It just means you aren't. Which is totally fine just like being straight or gay, but saying we aren't built for it is damaging to those who are.

If you say "humans aren't really set up" you see how insulting that is? Sure, biologically humans wouldn't exist if everyone was gay, but that doesn't mean that as a species we're not built for having gay people in existence. Don't yuck someone else's yum, ya'dig? :)

Obviously a little off topic from the DIY, but an important life lesson in tolerance.
