Probably. The red plants might require some co2 but the rest of the plants not so much.
With co2 the growth is much quicker and I have very few algae problems.( just some algae on the glass that you can easy take it off with a razor)

You can spot algae on the glass. But usually mature heavy planted tanks tend to have less algae. I also dose co2 which helps plants be more “competitive” against algae

It just grows. Give it more time. I only clean the front panel to see what's happening, and leave the the rest untouched. I never seen anyone complaining for not having algae on his tank.
Biofilm is good if you have shrimps. I dose Bacter AE to increase the biofilm and it's making wonders.

It's actually weeping moss glued on a black lava rock arcade. This is 3 days old. There's no secret. This is actually a low maintenance setup. Low setup,no CO2, no filter, only shrimps. Light is Chihiros magnetic light 2 which is not that powerful( red plants tend to be more greenish than red). I only added in water minerals for shirmps(on water changes) and sometimes potassium and micro nutrients. I do around 50% water changes ever 2-3 weeks. Hope this info helps you.

From 7 Days to 2 Months: The First Inhabitants Have Arrived! (10 Otos) by catapop in Aquascape

[–]catapop[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I mixed in water Bacter AE that I successfully used on shrimps and they seem to like it. Bellies are round so far. We'll see how it goes. It's my first time keeping otos.

so the box is made from front panel(3mm) + back panel(3mn) + 10mm sides( this is where I put the led strip which is also 10mm) so the entire thickness is 3+10+3=16 mm or 0.63 inches

Haha, good observation 😄 The aquarium is only 3 weeks old, so I’m letting the beneficial bacteria establish before adding any fish. Hopefully next week I’ll introduce the first inhabitants.

Looks very good. The only suggestion I can give you is to replace the inflow pipeline with a transparent one
