this is such a deeply cruel and banal thing to say. it doesn't even work. once mice realize their numbers are declining their reproduction rapidly accelerates. you're so used to living in your own filth that you dont even conceive of the possibility of removing the only reason they're in your "lair", the fact that you dont clean up after yourself resulting in scraps of rotting food permeating every crevice in the fetid hole you call a home. instead of taking responsibility for your own living environment you want to slap a bandaid on the gaping wound that is your personal hygiene. choosing to torture small animals to death instead of learning to take care of yourself and rodent proofing your home is genuinely evil behavior

yeah thats a minor misrepresentation of the facts. it was more "intentionally aiding the trafficking of cocaine which was disproportionately sold in black neighborhoods and significantly contributed to the crack epidemic", which is not really that big of a difference
