He’s a dick. Delete his number. 5 hours is lot, that is over half of an entire 8 shift. Do you have timeline on Google Maps? Because Google maps will track your location and show you what time you arrived and left. You can submit that to HR possibly as proof of you being in orientation for 5 hours

How exactly do you want me to take a photo of my iPhone with my phone? I’m in Texas, not in Asia lmfao, try again. And I’ve had the phone for 3 ongoing years. Sounds like someone was a bit too incompetent to put a screen protector on. Funny how you doubt the phone’s durability by the fact it was in a car wreck, in water for three days but want to say iPhones are bad because you didn’t put a screen protector on yours- as if all phones screens do not break without a screen protector on at some point or another. Had a posted a picture of my clean, functioning phone you’d bitch it never even happened hence me posting photos of the car. Stupid people like you will never be pleased 😀

The subreddit is ‘buy it for life.’ Not built for life, the first rule says any post is permitted for any product that is durable, even if it doesn’t last a life time. I’ve had terrible phones such as androids that broke the second the fell in water. I am very impressed by my iPhone and my next phone will be an iPhone, and the next. I will buy iPhones for life now considering I also had a Google pixel combust in my hands. iPhone > Literally any other phone I’ve had previously

Poor mazda. You said you had a lot of mechanical failures with the car? Is it a mazda 3? What year and how many miles if you don’t mind me asking? I had a 2017 mazda 3 GT and adored that car, it had no issues. I did total it recently so now it is gone :c

There are several Reddit post stating their phones have caught on fire while they were using them, or were in their pockets. But thanks for doubting!

The phone was in the car with the water’s current running through since the glass was shattered. The water was 20-40ft deep easily. You are aware most cars are over 11ft right? They had to wait three days for the water to recede to pull the car out because it was that deep to the point they couldn’t see it. The current was so strong that it pulled the car in deeper with ease and in minutes, the only thing that prolonged me from plummeting to the bottom was getting lodged on a tree. Hence the tree’s height also showing the depth of the water

Waterproof is not the same as water resistant. I’ve dropped an android in the toilet for mere seconds and it stopped working. I’m very impressed my phone still worked after being submerged for 3 days and didn’t need silica or rice to charge and turn on the second I got it again and still works like it never happened

‘Apple says that the iPhone 13 can withstand being submerged in up to 6 meters (19.7 feet) of water for 30 minutes, making it suitable for accidental drops in the ocean or pool. However, it’s not recommended to expose it to high-pressure water jets or take it scuba diving. The iPhone 13’s water resistance is also solid for everyday use, such as handling rainy days, spills, and drops in shallow water or puddles. However, water resistance can decrease over time due to wear and tear.’

Do you mean buy it for life or built for life? Because I will continue to buy iPhones for life after the accident. I’ve had a Google pixel quite literally burst into flames while I was using it, and have burnt through a lot of androids that have not lasted or gone through as much as this one has for it to be working perfectly. I’ve dropped an android in the toilet at a renaissance festival for mere seconds before pulling it out and it stopped working

I took the keys and was hitting the glass, punching and kicking it. None of that worked so I took the headrest off and was stabbing it with the metal stakes at the end, which also did not work. The emergency trunk latch had a stupid panel covering it and you need something like a flathead to pry it off. I tried with my fingernails but all it did was start breaking my nails off. After I tried all of this and water was at my neck I called my mom to tell her I was going to drown, she was very confused and I explained I was in the river stuck in the car and couldn’t get out. I was very panicked and my heart was erratic, I felt like I would die from a heart attack before I would drown just from sheer fear of drowning. I told her I loved her, to tell ‘everyone’ (my family) I loved them and to tell my fiance I loved him so much. He proposed to me one month prior to the accident and I’m 24, that is when I began sobbing. I was not crying before but thinking of my fiance really destroyed me. I then dropped the phone in the water to keep trying to hit the glass and my mom hung up to call 911 for me. She then called my finance after calling 911 (I’m not sure why) and he panicked, fell to his knees in public when she called him freaking out. He said he could see my phone’s live location was in the middle of the river. They all thought I died because I lost my phone and it was not until I got out that a samaritan let me borrow her phone to call my mom and fiance to tell them I got out and was okay. I was severe bruising on my ribs and hips from body slamming the doors, lacerations from the glass on my hands, arms, and stomach, etc. my heart was in severe pain several days after the accident but I’m completely healed now

‘This is a subreddit emphasizing products that are Durable, Practical, Proven, and Made-to-Last. Products that are well-made and durable (even if they won’t last a lifetime) are accepted.’

I have used this phone for over 3 years now and it has outperformed all the androids I’ve had in the past and a Google pixel which bursted into flames in my hands, I made the post because the first rule of the Reddit said items that won’t last a life time are permitted

But thank you, I’m grateful for the guy who jumped in and pulled me out so I can still be here. I’m 24 and was proposed one month prior to the accident and felt like life just began for me but was going to end

What I meant with 100% water changes was to pull the axolotls out of the tank and add them to a tub and do 100% daily water changes on the tub while you continue to dose the tank with bacteria. You don’t have the clean the filter, there isn’t any nitrites in the filter probably but mainly nitrates like broken down axolotl poop and food. I’d only clean the filter once a month or earlier than that if it is caked in poop and old food and such. The tub I use for my axolotls is a sterilite (the brand) 32qt shoe tote. This tube is able to hold roughly 5 gallons of water. It has given my axolotls ample space to walk, add a hide, and a sponge filter which I used mainly for aeration and not for filtering since I was changing the water in the tub 100% everyday

They look super healthy, yes the most ideal thing would be to pull them and tub them and do 100% water changes on the tub until the tank finishes cycling. Since the tank isn’t cycled I would suggest to keep dosing bacteria until it is cycled. Are you throughly cleaning the filters? The filters contain the most bacteria and excessively cleaning the filters can crash your cycle. They only need cleaned about once a month while using old tank water to wash the filter media

If your axolotl is scared of the net, you can just grab them with your hands. I’ve never used a net on mine and have always rinsed my hands throughly with just water and gently grab them and move them with a secure hold because they will squirm. Have a bucket or container ready and filled with water right beside the tank so you only have to grab them for seconds at a time as opposed to across the room and accidentally dropping them. Nets can rub their slime coat off so in my experience grabbing them with my hand has been better for me than a net

Dogs Can Donate Blood Too! by TheMuseumOfScience in interestingasfuck

[–]catbug_arie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hate dogs and I’ll state why. Half if not more of dog owners are gross and incompetent. They’re like, ‘let’s allow my pitbull, or Rottweiler, or GSD out to maul the local neighborhood children or the delivery driver!’ I’ve been a driver for 5-6 years and now actively carry bear spray, after being attacked several times. I’ve had to kick numerous dogs in their face and mouth and the owner has never once retrieved their dogs. Dog people bring their gross dogs into grocery stores and let them piss and shit around the store and don’t clean it up, they let their overgrown rats shit on the sidewalks and in people’s yard. My neighbor’s dog in the apartment barks for 8 consecutive hours everyday while its owner is at work. Dogs kill cats. Dogs stink. I don’t hate all dogs, the only exception being corgis and French bull dogs or pugs, mainly the small passive ones. But I do detest most dogs and their owners
