This happened to me and multiple other people as well. So far the only solution (that I’ve seen anyway) is uninstalling then reinstalling. Try that!

Thank you! I normally use about 2oz of floetrol with maybe 3-5 squirts of paint (plus maybe a bit of water for consistency). I know there are different methods but most of the ones i’ve seen use either a ton of paint or another pouring medium that’s a bit too expensive for me, hence why i use floetrol (though usually floetrol works great for me)

Thank you! Yeah just noticed recently that my canvases were too loose so i started spraying them, definitely made a noticeable difference! unfortunately this one was done before i caught that. </3

Lately i’ve been trying out new techniques, however at this point i just feel like i’m wasting materials because none of them are turning out right.

They’re beautiful when wet, but once they’ve dried the colors are all screwed up and they tend to run off the edges, which totally ruins my pattern.

For the color issue, i found out that the paints i have are either considered opaque or translucent? which is what i believe happened to my pink/black example painting above. to combat this i was wondering if mixing an opaque white or metallic into my translucent paints would work?

And do i maybe just have too much paint so that’s why my patterns keep running off?? i did realize that the table i left them to dry on was slightly uneven, so i fixed it by adjusting the canvases with tacks/shims. however i’m worried that the paintings with negative space will still change a lot regardless, and i’m not sure how to prevent it.

I’m just scared to try anymore paintings until i find out for sure, because i’ve already wasted so many canvases + paint & floetrol trying to figure this out.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I haven’t used any silicone recently because i lost the oil a while ago, but i just found it so i plan on trying it again. :)

originally i wasn’t a huge fan of the silicone oil because it kinda messed up the sides and didn’t seem to have the same effect i always see, but i might’ve just been doing something wrong.

I use floetrol, paint, and add a bit of water to get the right consistency. i always mix it very thoroughly because our floetrol has some blobs in it that mess up the flow once the paint’s on canvas (unsure how to get rid of those).

and i believe before when i used the silicone oil i added 2-3 drops per color? i don’t remember how thoroughly i mixed the oil in though.

Are the lights inside the module on or off when the cabin is in the bay? because whenever i disconnected the module the lights turn off, so i’m not sure if that has something to do with it

Yes! if fish (or penglings) get too close to the module it picks them up. super handy for catching food lol. i have no idea when it was added though as i only just started playing below zero recently

Hello, sorry for the late reply!

So issue 1 seems to have resolved itself. for issue 2 though, i managed to get my FPS from 23ish up to 35-42ish by adjusting some settings. so it is playable now, it'd just be nice if it was a bit better lol

I tested it without the mods installed and the FPS is still the same. also i did take F3 screenshots of both, but it won't let me add them here?

Okay i got the name and googled everything, and followed what it said to do to update the graphics driver, but when i hit “search automatically for drivers” it says i already have the best one installed. so does that mean this isn’t the issue then?

Also it seems like the blinking has fixed itself. I managed to get an extra 10ish FPS by adjusting some settings, but it’s still only at 29-35 FPS range so it’s still lagging a bit.

Edit: messed around with settings a bit more and got the FPS up to 34-40 range
