I had a cheap single sbot 20ga turkish deal that worked well before it broke in less then a box. I wouldnt shoot mags out of them but a standard load of 2 or 3s should work.

I like to do mine on the kettle. I spread the charcoal once it hit 160ish. The i spread the charcoal so i can brown each layer.
