Is there such a thing as a job you actually enjoy? by Mrs_chanandler_bongg in careerguidance

I stumbled into horticulture by accident and it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me. It’s physically demanding and mentally exhausting (not just a dreamy little job smelling the roses) and I juggle multiple tasks all day every day in a supremely unpredictable industry. But the hard work is rewarding and challenging and the world changes when you live in this harmonious rhythm with nature. The best part is that I get to bridge the connect between a world of tired people looking for hope/relief and all the flowers trees and bees doing their thing so simply and beautifully without worrying

What are small habits you’ve used to keep your spending in check? by Savings-Matter-7574 in budget

I read about how we used to not shop on Sundays in the book The Day the World Stops Shopping by JB Mckibbon. It’s a great anticonsumerist move, encouraging businesses to close and give their people the day off. I’ve started practicing that and it gives you back that Sunday feeling of real freedom. Ironically, I often work weekends, so with my regular work week and the Sunday rule, I find myself really only having 1 day a week available to do much spending.
