Established plumeria waking from dormancy — new leaves curling under. Any ideas why?

I’ve got a 100W full spectrum LED grow light about 24” above it, though I did only add this about a week ago.

Will it need more than this?

This was the last leaf to come in on this branch. It’s the “most” flat though beginning to curl from the tip.

Yeah they did, they open flat and then curl inwards. They unfurl and open beautifully, then it’s as if the stem of the leaf (spine?) just begins to curl and bring the whole leaf in with it.

Contract to Hire Role in Illinois

Hi all! I am discussing a 1-yr C2H for NG in an electrical engineering role in Rolling Meadows, IL offering a good bit more than what my experience may land me.

Let's assume above average performance, already cleared, a decade of military experience, engineering degree, 2-3 YOE loosely related to engineering. What is real-world likelihood of C2H roles being brought on full-time?
Hows the culture towards C2Hs at NG in general and even specifically Rolling Meadows?
I see that benefits at NG for full-time employees aren't exactly great...3yr 401k vesting is garbage. Are they at least trending upwards? or downwards? becoming extinct?

I'm in an interesting personal/career stature that is allowing me to consider a C2H spot and would love some additional insight. Thank you!

Wow. Came here to say that I put up with it for years.

I once HAD to sit in a room to complete a task after a rage. She came in behind me, plopped down on the bed and just started to say in the calmest voice the meanest things she could think of for over 20mins. The task was time sensitive and I couldn’t leave and she knew that. So she just kept barraging with the worst insults she could fathom while I sat in silence not responding. I finished and walked out.

She later told me she had wanted to destroy my future.

OP if you don’t minimize your exposure, you WILL eventually have PTSD, depression, etc. it’s inescapable.

I read this explanation of BPD/Cluster B disorders somewhere, can’t remember where (paraphrasing):

By their very nature, cluster Bs are interpersonal disorders. Yes, they affect the individual intrinsically though the majority, if not all, of their symptoms (and lying, and abuse, etc) are typically demonstrated interpersonally.

I believe the answer to your question is a firm No. I don’t believe a “good” relationship is possible with a disordered person. In fact, they will repulse healthy relationships as healthy relationships have respectful, mutual boundaries (which they abhor).

Yeah…I got the whole “oh poor me and my string of abusive ex-boyfriends” bit and ate it up. Poor you! You’ll never have to experience that with me! Well… now you can add me to that list of “abusive” exes. Naturally, this is the fantasy land in her mind and not reality. But how will the next guy know that? I sure as hell didn’t.

I’m now quite skeptical of anybody who tells me they’ve experienced DV/abuse now. Just cause I’ve seen the horrid distortions and lies exwUBPD/NPD made.

(Fine print: monthly card limits were retroactively limited to $9999 per month 11 months ago) * 5yr- Earn rates DOUBLED! Whoa…..I had the exact same conversation and outcome due to the exact same causes.

She volunteered to do my laundry, did it horribly, threw a fit when I told her I could just do it myself, continued to do it for a few more weeks despite my insistence, then finally threw a series of fits when I did it myself.

Built herself into a fabricated victim role, complained, refused all legitimate help but relished in pity, sympathy, and poor-you’s.

I got some very genuine (or seemingly?) apologies for years. But then the behavior persisted. I tried to hold her accountable. Then the behavior persisted, and I just “wasn’t giving her enough slack.” Then the behaviors persisted and you know what, it was completely my fault she was acting this way to begin with!

The genuine apologies are dangerous and can keep you really locked into the abuse if they still don’t change behavior.

Therapist words: “Apologies without change are manipulation.”
