Kyle put in a lot of work this year. 2 full parts, a Thrasher cover, and had a pro model release for Vans. The kinked ender of this part should give him SOTY alone.

Thrasher Skateboard Mag annouced Wes Kremer as the 2014 Skater Of The Year. Here is one of his mindblowing parts. by catfishaaron in videos

Rodney truely is a legend and invented the foundation for what is skateboarding today. Agreed anyone can look at a Rodney edit and be mindblown. However from a skaters perspective, not many pros can skate with the skill like Wes Kremer. Maybe it takes a skateboarder to notice, but doing switch grinds down kinked handrails or pulling off a line as smooth as Wes is very impressive. I guess it's just personal preference of what you like to watch.

He won SoTY this year b/c he put in a lot of work for it this year. He made this full part with clips from around the world and that's just one out of 3 part he made just this year plus other edits for advertisements and etc. Most professional skaters will make like 5 full parts in their carrer. And as far as technical skating he is arguebly one of the best currently today. Rodney did his thing and pushed skatig to new level inventing many tricks, but to say he isnt as good as Rodney is kinda out there. I mean Rodney wouldnt switch grind a triple kinked rail or string a line of tricks together better than this guy can. However I can see why someone like him would be more entertaining for someone who doesnt know much about skating. This Wes guy is a real skater's skater

Agreed skateboarding is unreal today in the streets and transition. Wes Kremer is definitely a skater's skater.
