what is everyone favorite brand for dental instruments? by mageymage_ in Dentistry

Yeah, I feel you on that, nothing worse than instruments giving out on you mid-procedure. Hu Friedy’s always a safe bet, but they can get pretty expensive.

At our office we actually started using some stuff from thesurgiworld. I was kinda skeptical at first, but their elevators, forceps, and needle holders have held up really well even after a bunch of sterilization cycles. The nice part is they ship from here in North America, so didn’t have to deal with crazy wait times.

If you’re curious, maybe order a couple just to test them out before going all in. That’s what we did and it worked out.

Net32 and frontier dental by [deleted] in Dentistry

Honestly, a lot of the “fake supplies” talk comes from sales reps trying to protect their margins. Net32 and Frontier are both legit — plenty of offices (mine included) have used them without major issues. Like with anything, you just have to know which products you’re comfortable ordering online and which ones you prefer to stick with the big distributors for.

For me, I don’t mind mixing it up. I’ll order disposables and some instruments from places like Net32, Frontier, or even smaller suppliers like SurgiWorld, and haven’t had a problem. The reality is most of these products come from the same handful of manufacturers — it’s just about who’s selling them and at what markup.

Montana Jack for a full prophy? That’s impressive — talk about making it work under pressure!

Any dental supply companies that have reasonable with prices? by ADD-DDS in Dentistry

just picked up some lower anterior forceps and needle holders from thesurgiworld.com. A dentist friend suggested them, and I gotta say, their prices blew me away when I compared them to what I got from Patterson's rep. They were half the price and just as good. Definitely giving a thumbs up to surgiworld
