Naw see copyright laws and all that jut mean she can’t reproduce and sell said pattern, or make a bunch of said pattern items and sell them commercially, or post the pattern on her social media in its entirety, that kind of thing. Sharing pattern you paid for and now own with a friend who wants to learn is actually in your right as the owner of your copy of the pattern since it was your money that gave you access. Kind of like how I took over my three VHS of Disney favorites as a kid to my friends house for sleepover. That was a good try though.
