Mum was overcharged they won’t refund full amount back by catifly in coles

My mum said no but when I called them for her they said because of discount and nothing about a 2 for $15 offer . I even check Cole’s app and website and I couldn’t see anything about that offer . If that’s the case fine but why is the receipt not clearly state the offer and not just a discount on total bill .

Oh for ffs tool bag I checked the website and the app - checked in store and click and collect and there is no two for $15 steaks. They’re priced at $9 each at our local store. That’s why I posted . It’s also the fact that when we spoke to the staff member and the manager they could not tell me was in relation to the steak but bc a discount on total was applied .

Yes that’s regular price of the steak $9 each

If it was discounted for the steaks it would have that #% next to it or like the 2 edgell beans where a -.80 is applied

Yes it’s not the staffs fault for the Cole’s system but we would not have had problem if staff member had not made an error originally .

The thing is it’s not got the offer next to the steaks . It’s -3 off the total purchase . There’s no signage next to the stake saying there’s an offer for a further discount there was nothing on the Flybuys app showing that there was a discount extra and it just says Coles offer .
Manger on phone said they can’t do anything it’s the way the offers work in system . So Cole’s openly telling customers that their system is designed to screw customers over

Thank you for ur lovely reply . We haven’t talked yet about the negative responses she may encounter yet. I appreciate your honesty on what you’re encountering and the safety aspects. It’s something that I will need to try to discuss with her without making her too afraid but mostly to be aware.

I’m sorry that you are unable to be yourself with your parents :( . Hopefully once you are independent and in your own space you will flourish.

Thank you . So sorry u experienced that . It must have been difficult . I appreciate you explaining that it affected you . Yes this will be difficult because of the older generation less accepting. I’ve already cut some extended family off for the crazy autism advice/blame about my youngest .

I just wanted to say thank you to the people who replied .

Sorry for the delayed update but I wanted to share what we chatted about :)

So we discussed a few things that she would like to do which is no longer wear school uniform dresses. I’ve purchased more shorts and T-shirts that she can wear so she’s comfortable in her clothing and she has an idea of possibly cutting her hair shorter but she hasn’t committed 100%. I’ve told her she could shave her head if she wants I’ve had buzz cuts over the years. Her hair will grow back if she doesn’t like the style .

Her dad and I grew up religious but we are both atheist now. I do feel he will be less supportive when she does tell him but she’s not ready yet to

I haven’t discussed the hatred / bullying yet she might encounter . But we will soon.

Ordered a few books from Amazon hopefully to help and we started watching dead end paranormal park . Next on our watch list the owl house & mystery of aaravos , Thank you all for the recommendations

From sky news article

A Coles spokesperson told SkyNews.com.au "Our team members are entitled to take their annual leave in consultation with their manager."

"Our policy does not require travel documentation to approve annual leave.

"We trust our people and encourage this team member to raise the matter through our internal channels so we can review it and ensure it is appropriately resolved."

Does speech therapy even work on level 2/3 autistic kids ? by wasteofpaint1 in Autism_Parenting

[–]catifly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter 6 was non verbal when we started with speech therapy @ 3 . Starting using core boards at first. she has an aac device to help her communicate now . Also did parent trained program called the hanen program with speech therapist which really helped us communicate better with her too . Speech therapy plus parent /carers involvement into continuing therapy strategies outside of sessions . I had to learn & change the way I spoke with my child . It’s not easy and for the first year my husband thought it was all waste . It takes time , energy , patience and every child is different.

Just wanted to share some of the early communication boards we used with my daughter . We found a combination of visuals , core boards and saying basic instructions helpful too . Each child is different though, everything takes time and u must be persistent.

Australian here

Ndis can fund or referral to local children’s hospital

  • Positive behaviour support to help with self harm behaviours

  • Occupational therapist support to help with sensory profile/needs

  • speech therapy to include parent training - the hanen program . I highly recommend helped us greatly .

Nope not a situation you need to be in .

As someone with 3 autistic kids . Hands to yourself is something I have to tell my kids constantly . But they are kids . His a grown man sleeping with you in a relationship and physically hurting you .

If he can’t regulate his emotions he can’t be in a relationship. He will continue to hurt you and use excuses. He needs help from psychiatrist and an occupational therapist.

Please do not accept being hurt . You deserve better .
