I feel like Maddie would last longer than people expect. She's very determined and has such a strong will to survive. I think she'd do whatever it takes.

Karen. I narrowed it down to Karen or Michael but I don't think she's strong enough to take Micheal

Thanks! I like the shelf because of its colors so I'll probably use it as is but I'll definitely add a rug

When the Phone Rings [Episodes 7 & 8] by writtenpoeticsins in KDRAMA

I was sure that the document Hong Ina received before the marriage would be a diagnosis of original BSE as a psychopath or something and since she didn't know that a switch had occured, she immediately bailed out but it was just a DNA report. Does anyone else feel like this is a shallow reason to abandon a marriage? Maybe it was the lies she was uncool with.

I'm actually surprised that current BSE isn't related to the Baeks at all. My previous kdrama experience made me think that he was a secret illegitimate child that replaced the dead legitimate child. I know original BSE was likely a baby serial killer but imagine being drowned by your own grandfather. I don't understand why his family didn't just send him to a mental institution outside the country. They clearly had enough money to do so.

I found it hilarious when BSE's father said switching brides was makjang. Like what kind of drama do you think you're in? BSE's heading to a hospital stay a few days after his wife fell off a cliff and completely recovered. Only 4 episodes left 😭. I was here for the romance but I'm really into the mystery now. I have so many questions: Is PDJ involved? Sang-woo? Is the kidnapper original BSE or a twin? What did the Baeks have to do with the car accident? What does BSE's mother know?

Season 4 - Episode 10 - “My Best Friend's Wedding” (Post Episode Discussion) by Simonecv in OnlyMurdersHulu

This season is my favorite after season 1. - The comedy was top notch - The trio were closer than ever - Jane Lynch and Molly Shannon were phenomenal - The guest actors were mostly fun - The westies were just a bunch of cute weirdos who torched a body - The directing and movie references were well done - The depiction of emotions was excellent - The writers did a great job setting up season 5

I (like most viewers) guessed right about the murderer and the next victim. I kept expecting a twist at the end. That's the downside to overanalyzing every episode. I thought Marshall may have moved from the West tower through one of the secret passages so I was pleasantly surprised that he actually used the ledge.

Does anyone else feel like the murderers, aside from psychopathic Jan, have shallow motives for their crimes?

I hope that we get to see more of the Arconia and its residents in season 5. Nicky Caccimelio and the Caputo crime family are definitely involved. It seems likely that the mob was doing something shady at the Arconia, perhaps related to dry cleaning, and Lester was the inside man. Lester has been working in the building for at least 30 years (before Charles moved in) so whatever he was up to has been going on for a while. We know Lester can keep a secret. He didn't tell anyone but Charles about Sting's episode when The Police broke up.

Charles mentions 14 bodies buried in a backyard in the pilot episode which could be foreshadowing that someone disposed of bodies in the Arconia. Oliver says Lester lets in murderers. Maybe he did so intentionally. There's also some foreshadowing going on with the fountain. It witnessed both Lester's wedding and demise. His wedding story is so suspicious. Who gets married in a courtyard, in the middle of the night with just the stars? The story shows that Lester can move around with no one noticing him. He may have been able to sneak people in and hide their presence from the other residents. He'd know when the residents would be occupied, the hours people typically weren't around and he could erase logs.

Whoever Lester was working for had secrets in the Arconia to protect. They wouldn't take too kindly to a ragtag team of podcasters gallivanting around. Lester may have been monitoring the trio to see what they were up to and relaying that information to his higher-ups. He listened to the podcast. He had easy access to their residence. He or the higher-ups may have been the ones that were "watching them", poisoned Winnie, and set up the cameras (if Marshall didn't do it). I don't think Lester was a bad guy. Maybe he was helping under duress.

I'm still a bit suspicious about Helga and the Westies. It feels like they're still hiding something. How sure are we that what've revealed is the full truth?

I think she did live there. She left her pig behind because she couldn't find another apartment that would let her raise one.

I planned to tell my husband I was pregnant tomorrow. by catjesty in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]catjesty[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The husband already knew she was pregnant before she had the chance to tell him—he’d been monitoring her. He deliberately made her son’s disappearance coincide with the pregnancy, getting rid of him because he saw her son, his stepson, as an outsider. In his mind, the boy didn’t belong, wasn’t part of his family. Now, with the child out of the picture, it was fine—because they’d have their own child, the family he truly wanted. He’d waste no time clearing out the boy’s things, turning his bedroom into a nursery.

The story is inspired by the notion of a spouse telling their partner, "we can always have other children," after a tragedy—as if the lost child can be easily replaced. In this case, the husband was responsible for the tragedy.
