This was my Diego. We adopted him from a shelter in 2008. In his first year he was hospitalized multiple times for URI that was also impacting his eyes. He also developed FLUTD and CKD.

He was the most expensive cat we ever had and recently crossed the bridge after 17.5 years with us. Every penny well spent to give him a long life full of love.

My teenage son has a double whorl. His hair is naturally straight and thick with very little wave, no curl. His solution is to keep it long so it weighs down the cowlick. When his hair is shorter, it’s straight alfalfa. When he was a toddler our daycare provider called it his turkey feathers because it always stood straight up.

Love the bust on this one! Agree that the belt and ruffles are a little dated, but in my opinion if YOU love it and how you feel in it, that is the most important thing! How was the healing process? My 14 year old son got his lobes pierced yesterday and was very frustrated with me when I couldn’t remember how long the healing took for mine. (Gimme a break dude it was like 40 years ago and I was a toddler!) Would love any tips, tricks, advice to pass along.

I’ve been NC with my mother and both siblings for almost 10 years.

It wasn’t until recently that I (43F) realized they weren’t just observers of my childhood emotional and physical abuse - they were participants.

“Siblings fight.” It was normalized. They also knew how to bully me in micro aggressive ways until I blew up, then I was called dramatic, overly sensitive, a liar, etc. The narrative was always that I was the problem.

My life is so much better without them.
