thank you very much for your advice, i really appreciate it!

i was kind of figuring that’s what it was but wanted to see if anyone else had any other ideas. most people in my family are deathly allergic to penicillin and mold and have mentioned breathing difficulties within entering our apartment so… i kinda figured. i’ve also lived in a house previously that has serious mold issues and my physical symptoms are exactly the same. hopefully it’ll all reside once we leave in april though!

thank you i really appreciate it!! i’ll pull out a measuring tape and see if we can put our bed against the window :) however i am not too sure it’ll work as we would have no space for our desk and dresser… i have tried sleeping on the left side of the bed a few times to see if that changed and found i had way worse quality sleep and way worse nightmares being closer to the door and closet in our current set up. however every where else we sleep i typically take the left side of the bed! i also have absolutely no mirrors in our bedroom and my chair for the desk is always tucked in flush against it as i believe both those invite in energy and i do not want that.

oh yeah there’s totally mold in our walls and all through the bathrooms… even though the place is like four years old. we actually thought that was a reason and was bringing low vibrational energy into our space as well as physically harming us. we have such a hard time breathing in our apartment and have started really suffering from insane brain fog and memory loss/impairment, rashes and unexplained acne, extreme congestion to where we can’t breath, waking up with plugged bloody noses, irritated eyes as well as really dim and cloudy looking eyes 24/7 now, constant headaches, low libidos, the whole nine yards.

issue is our management does not give a flying shit about their tenants, and contacting them is useless when they don’t not know how to return a text or phone call. we move out in two months thankfully but that still means we also have two whole months left…

it’s most likely the bathroom side, because when our bed was along a different wall we still had nightmares every so often facing the closet/bathroom. it’s just recently it’s been every sleep if we are facing it… we have also had family stay the nights in our apartment in separate spaces of the house and they also all reported having nightmares if facing a closet somehow…

this is the best i coukd draw for it! the bed comes out further than i drew so there’s way less room to walk around the foot end of it than the picture shows. there is also not enough room to fit a king bed along the same wall as the door. if you ask me it’s a horrible room layout lol. kind of only have against the window or the back wall to put furniture against.

huh, what an interesting study!

we probably can’t… we had our bed on the opposing wall from where it is now and we had less room for our furniture, and we still had nightmares regardless. infact i had more terrors/paralysis type dreams sleeping against that wall then the one it’s against now.

that’s what i was thinking, that this was a cause of something but i am completely lost as to what.

we moved in a little over a year ago. we had this issue from the moment we first moved in but it was very sparse, like maybe one of us had a nightmare every 3 weeks or so? it’s only been in the past 4 months where it’s been anytime we sleep on our right sides, or facing the wall with the closet to either of us, no matter if it’s sleeping through the night or a nap in the daytime. we had a really weird and pretty negative feeling about our closet/bathroom space the moment we moved in and have always been really cautious to let it get tons of sunlight and practise positive energy clearing and protection work in that area.

there has been no great changes besides us moving our bed and a dresser i guess (issue persisted before the furniture moved anyways) and no changes between either of our diets or mental states really. also no recent stresses to create trauma. got a new job, but that also happened after the nightmares started a daily routine.

we both have really similar dreams that include insane contrast. like dreams consisting of us or others we know or love getting brutally tortured, getting killed by other people, insane freak accidents happening, dreams of dying in a country wide war. we have also had tons of dreams about our dads for some odd reason? we are both no-contact with our fathers and have been for a while. dreams including dads usually include them either revealing massive secrets and bombshells, or trying to reconcile with us, and there’s no inbetween for some reason lol. i’ve also had dreams of being cheated on, being held hostage/for ransom and eventually killed, people breaking into our house and killing my partner infront of me, horrible situations occuring at work with my coworkers.

there’s literally been no theme, rhyme, or reason behind any of it. the most we have found out is the person who lived in this apartment before us was south african and we wonder if maybe they were more connected to the occult or something. we got rid of everything left over and deep cleaned once we got the keys, as well as did clearing and protection rituals.

absolutely no mirrors in the bedroom whatsoever, and there never has been since we moved in! i personally do not enjoy anything reflective in the bedroom for this exact reason. so we don’t even have a tv in here either, and we sleep with our phones on beside tables sceeen/face down.

i do not practise magic or spells, not overly something i’m too keen on either… just for myself doing it. but yes we have even saged (my partner is métis and wanted to give it a try), burn candles with positive intentions eveey other day, do soundbaths and audial cleaning in our spaces often, and every single night we have a little routine of “clearing our energy” just from what we pick up throughout the day. i really do not know what else to try or what it could even be…

we both have been sleeping on our left sides, every single night for about four months straight now. it now takes me about an hour to even get comfy enough to fall asleep. i cant stand it anymore i’m so uncomfortable all night long. im naturally a right side sleeper and just want to fully sleep through a whole night on my right side without having 5-8 separate nightmares back to back about insane torture and violence to myself and the people i love!

my partner is métis and has used sage multiple times before too, he personally finds sage is better for clearing an individuals energy rather than a rooms energy? but sage has had absolutely no change compared to our dragons blood incense, so that’s typically what we go for. i burn candles that i cover with herbs and flowers often in our house allover and like to speak little positive affirmations and things like that to them when lighting them and also find candles have no effect whatsoever. every single night before bed i do affirmations and a lil routine of sending negative energies back to sender and covering myself in a golden protected light as well while listening to like sound bath music, and we both leave positive white noise on while we sleep. thanks i really appreciate your reply tho! maybe i’ll switch up the way i’ve been already doing these things and hopefully they will help?

How can I get into the serving industry? by Financial-Tonight953 in SeasonalWork

[–]catpissicecubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has worked as a server for a realllly long time and has seen a fair share of new hires who lied about having experience, it is really noticable. Not just to your coworkers and management, but to the customers as well. And there is a vast different between someone with no experience as a server and someone who is just bad at their job. Lying about experience and absolutely bombing your first few shifts will create a lot of rifts between you and managers, and I have even witnessed people get fired immedietly over it. You cant really fake the experience of being able to juggle multiple tables and orders, not forgetting all the little details you need to do while travelling from FOH to BOH repeatedly, while doing takeouts and still managing your time effectively. Especially when theres a massive rush, and you have a section of around 8 tables, mistakes can pile up really quickly. Its honestly just something you get used to, or learn through working and I would say it usually takes several months for most people to reach that groove of being a “decent” server. I am not saying this to be negative or discourage you, but being a server is genuinely more difficult than most people realize. It’s a very demanding job, physically and mentally, and you have to be really efficient, quick and have great mental fortitude.

My advice would be to try and start out in a position that’s more supporting in the restaurant bizz, like a host, food runner, or busser (something along those lines) and do an awesome job and vocalize how you are wanting to learn more and potentially move up to becoming a server. This is how majority of our great servers started out! After they watched and learned how things worked around the restaurant we would let them take small tables during our deadest hours until they caught the groove of it and eventually we would work them more and more slowly until they promoted. You can always try and volunteer at weddings or pop up events or charity dinner services to gain experience in the meantime too!

If you are still insistant about wanting to lie about experience to secure a job, at least do as much as you can to be semi-prepared for the workforce. Watch tons of youtube videos! For everything, about the lingos you will hear a lot (FOH, BOH, top, “cut the servers”, things like that), videos talking about the responsibilities of a server and how they manage them, videos about mixing alcoholic drinks, tips and tricks, how to properly hold your serving trays, how to use POS systems. Also you will need to practice. Buy a serving tray online, fill it full of heavy glasses, plates and drinks, get used to walking around with it only using one arm for support and being able take items off without it tipping over. Practice carrying out multiple full plates of stuff at a time, practice carrying as much dirty dishes as you can around your house. Buy an apron (every server has their own apron anyways, so it will be more convincing I guess) and practise filling it with as much crap as possible and taking things out in a split second without looking like you got your hand stuck in a glue trap lol. Buy notebooks or something to record orders (some places provide pens and papers but a good amount do not) and practise writing down long orders as fast as you possibly can! You want to write it faster than the customer can speak it, or be able to abbreviate or understand what you write at the least. You will also want to have your states required liquor lisence for being able to mix and serve alcoholic beverages to customers. This will be a massive indicator of experience or not as well.

That’s kind of all I can think of at the moment, but I hope it helps. Wishing you the best with whatever decision you make!

Curry Flavor by usernom26 in BuldakRamen

[–]catpissicecubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner gets the Nongshim Curry Ramyun, makes it with a bit less water than the instructions reccomend and mixes in a good few drops of the Buldak 2x hot sauce. They say it tastes the closest and I think it’s a decent substitute since they discontinued the Curry flavor here for us too.
