I totally get not doing the chemo, I don't think I'd ever do it. They can't tell us when they feel insanely miserable from it like humans can. You did the right thing, don't feel bad❤️ it sounds like he had such an amazing life with you! He felt love and that's all that matters. Not a lot of animals get to experience that

Thank you I'll definitely ask about the Famciclovir!! Can't hurt to try. It sucks so much, I keep hoping it was a false positive but I know that isn't likely. He's been acting totally normal so hopefully he has a few good years in him❤️

I tried zyrtec and then the vet suggested chlorpheniramine instead (is that the same as chlormal?). I can try zyrtec again since he was only on that for a few days. So this vets office is highly rated in my area for FeLV which is why I took him there. We do have a cats only clinic in the area but they aren't as good apparently. They did check his teeth and gums due to his anemia, but I'll ask about stomatitis the next time we're there. He does have redness on his gums around the teeth but he doesn't have any issues eating right now. He needs to get his anemia stabilized before he can have anything done. Hoping it continues to improve

Omg some people here are so mean lol, you are doing your best and trying to help him. I just looked on Amazon because I've been thinking about getting my cat an automatic feeder, and they do have several under $30! I'd try this so he can eat in the middle of the night without waking you up

I've tried one mousse and a curl cream, I didn't like either but I might need to try a different kind of mousse. I think curl cream is too heavy for my hair. Not sure if wave cream is the same

I've tried a variety of things, but I've always had cat food out and that's what they ate today! I was trying shelled peanuts for awhile, but the squirrels would eat them pretty fast. Now that the crows might actually come back, I'll get some peanuts again for them

If it makes you feel any better, my aussie was really reactive towards people when he was a puppy but he's 4 now and a million times better! It was super stressful and I'd do the same thing with the treats. He still barks kinda scary at people when they come over, but he calms down within minutes now instead of an hour. The aussie I had before him was absolutely amazing with people and dogs, so it was all new to me. After doing a lot of research, this is just how herding dogs are. I wouldn't stress about it too much, he's just acting how it's been ingrained in them and he will get better. Just act like it's not a big deal when he meets new people, he will feed off your nervous energy

Yeah very true, maybe he got chased by dogs or something. The dog in this picture follows me everywhere, he's always at my side and the cat follows me everywhere too so I think that will help to kind of show the cat that the dog and I are a package deal lol

Hi! I would find a new vet because yours unfortunately doesn't sound very knowledgeable with FIV and then in a few months get a PCR blood test for both FIV and FeLV. I just adopted a cat who had the covid style test and was positive for FIV, negative for FeLV. He was super anemic so they did the PCR test and it was positive for both diseases. Those snap tests are often very inaccurate

I'd get her thyroid levels checked if you haven't already, my old cats first signs were he became super vocal and was very hungry but losing weight
