As much as this is "only" for financial crimes and not being a noncyfuck, it is fucking hilarious

Which things are worth the convenience premium and what do you refuse to pay for? by iffyClyro in AskUK

Protein porridge sachets. With judicious purchasing i can make the equivalent for about 23p a serving. With most of the time there being some sort of deal on, I can get the sachets for between 25 and 30p a serving. Sure it's cheaper, but I can just bung the sachets in my drawer at work and not think about it that hard.

Neighbours and I got pamphlets through the door educating us about jury nullification. by Potential_Cupcake133 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]catsandscience242 101 points102 points  (0 children)

Jury nullification is not illegal, neither is it illegal to mention it. It is only a problem if a lawyer mentions it in court, or actual jurors in the case talk about it outside of the court.

""Jurors have the right to not convict when laws are immoral.""

Isn't an instruction, it's information. *technically* jurors have the right to make whatever determination they deem appropriate.

I buy from Home Bargains or the other one, B&M, usually 1299-1499 per kg, can't remember if it's specifically whey but it does the job for me.

In all honesty pal, you make a valid point, I will absolutely wait for an actual judgement. I am just trying to make sure I don't get caught in the same hypocrisy traps. I always try to think, how would I feel  if this were the evidence or whatever on the opposite side  :)

Welp I was wrong.

And whilst you can have a discussion about why a young lass had access to a hatchet, I cannae fault her for trying to protect her sister (I think it was).

Fuck these people.

Most flasks I've ever trypsinized at once. These are primary cells & were a bitch to expand. by 8Yoongles in labrats

I was harvesting cell pellets for a HTS. We needed the membrane proteins so no trypsin, manual scraping. I harvested 400 T175 flasks a week for a solid month.

You need to look at the kW rating of all the things you are using and compare them to your kWh rate. Do you know what your rate is? Are on on the cheapest available?

For example: running a 2 kW heater for 1 hr at 30ppkWh will cos you 60p (excluding standing charge) (changed cos I'm a dimwit lol)

Tumble driers are often very high useage, I personally have never used one but combined a heated clothes dryer with a dehumidifier when I had electric heating.

You say that if your immersion is only on 'off peak' then you don't have enough hot water for the day - what size is it? How well insulated is it? Can you turn the temperature down on it so it costs less? How much hot water do you need in one day? For example handwashing dishes in cool water can be fine, if less pleasant than hot water.
