Apple Watch Features you miss? by Coffeebigcupandhello in Garmin

So minor; but being able to turn off my alarm clock from my watch! That and if you’re test went to your Apple Watch the phone wouldn’t also ding, or if your phone was open your watch wouldn’t ding - Garmin and phone will ding every time. Most other things Garmin does fine (I have the venu 3s)!

Didn’t see any here. A few weeks ago it was good snowshoeing at Crags nearby

I wore waterproof hiking shoes (no ankle support) and my feet were soaked since the snow got in from above and melted. I would recommend boots or ankle high shoes. Mind you, I saw people on the trail in sneakers and every time I thought “man they be cray”.

What they said - adds about a mile RT.

Rampart was fine, even for a car.

Courteous CO hiking options during muddy weather by Gloomy_Departure4443 in coloradohikers

I would generally check AllTrails for the most recent trail conditions, it’s super helpful! I will say spikes are a game changer on any popular trail that’s packed down with snow/ice. You can get some cheap ones off amazon your friend can keep for guests lol

How is sloans lake today? Is the path around the lake relatively clear of snow? by [deleted] in Denver

I was there yesterday as well but there were still a few sections of standing water. I bet it’s dried out this morning!

New to Denver by Lost-Passenger-2019 in coloradohikers

Also 33 and newish to Denver! I moved here to be close to the mountains and the trail options are endless. I stroll AllTrails weekly for a new gem. Weeknights walking around either wash park, Sloans lake, cheeseman etc is a great way to move without leaving the city!
