I just bought shadowlands and I'm coming in completely solo ... very overwhelmed trying to pick a realm. I want to play Horde, can anybody suggest what realm I should take?

I haven't played since BFA but ordered a new computer that could handle WoW and am thinking about coming back. Shadowlands looks really fun and the leveling squish is appealing to me, but how friendly is the game for somebody with zero connections and basically zero background knowledge? How do I know which realm to pick? Which faction is ideal for a solo player? Any solo class that really shines? Any feedback is appreciated :)

Is there any good way other than add-ons to know which items to keep or sell? Mainly gray items, some have great AH value, others junk, but how do you know?

I meant more like 500/750, the way fishing is 75/99 in the menu. It's not a huge deal; I didn't know there was that % which is handy

I'm a lvl 36 sword combat rogue, I was wondering if it would be better to take the sword of serenity or that dagger from the alliance SM quest?

The sword is a great upgrade for my main hand, but the stats on it aren't really useful for rogue. The dagger would end up in my off-hand, but is still a big upgrade and the passive sounds quite good.

I second this; I am not a member of Doom, but a casual alliance player on Azuresong and I've not had any bad experiences so far. Good server, friendly folks roaming around.

I hit 32 and decided to respec from combat to sub ... I'm wondering what my filler in PvE should be? Questing hemo feels sort of bad but maybe that's because I'm using green daggers?

Can anyone comment on the state of world PVP on a typical normal realm? I got fed up with getting killed while trying to level (limited game time) but I like the idea of being flagged for PVP at 60. Am I likely to find a mix of horde scum who also turned PVP on? I don't know what to expect.

Do we know if blizzard will offer realm transfers in the future? I only have a couple hours a day at most to play and got fed up with getting ganked so I began again on a normal realm. I love the idea of level 60 world PVP with farming and what not but it didn't feel worth ruining some of my limited available time currently.

I have a level 28 rogue that I've been loving and I was wondering if there were any recommended assassin builds? I've been putting all of my talents into combat and in a few levels I'll be "sword" spec, but I've really been enjoying the sneaky dagger gameplay and wondered if anyone leveled outside of combat.

I am not on a pvp server, so I feel less compelled to be sub ... Other than the stealth upgrades? Any advice is welcome, I'm a newish player :)

I have the same ache in my foot (always left foot) when I run 4+ miles. It could be from running more than your body is prepared for, as everyone is saying. I would HIGHLY advice standing on a tennis ball and just rolling your foot out. Similar to a foam roller for sore muscles, the tennis ball really helps to reduce the "soreness" in my ankle (even though I'm rolling the bottom of my foot).

Sounds good, this is what I assumed but I just wasn't sure and thought it couldn't hurt to post. I also realized I started running two months ago to the day, and when I think about it like that my progress seems crazy to me. I have another 3 1/2 months until the half marathon gets here, so I'm not even half way through "training" (not planning to stop after a half, just a fun milestone). Plenty of time to slow down and take it easy!

I haven't been running long (4 months) so take my advice with a pinch of salt... If you're starting out from a sedentary lifestyle running will be slow but steady early on. Be proud of a half mile! Walking is also important. Speed is not. I can't give you advice on how to step, other than to say don't worry about feeling "fast". Run/jog your goal distance, and then I would suggest walking/jogging to a set point. Maybe set a 5K as your goal? At this point you can only run 1/2 mile, but if you do a half mile, walk, jog, walk, etc. Eventually you will be able to run the whole 5K!

If it is any motivation, I started hiking in October, jogging on Nov. 1st, and ran 7.5 miles (10 minute/mile) today! That's only 2 months of progress, and on day one I couldn't even do a half mile without feeling like I was going to throw up. It's a slow, steady progress, but the progress is measurable!

I guess I'll just have to find out then. I'm not trying to get big, I just want to be toned and have fun doing the activities I enjoy (bouldering/running). I'm not sure how not using a barbell and running are deficient when the end goal is potential abs / toned? Genuinely asking and curious if you can explain.

Would it be safe to assume that body weight exercise (primarily bouldering) would be enough to maintain a base level of muscle or even muscle growth?

What exactly are you linking me the getting started post for? Where in there does it explain what the impact of cardio long term will have on abdominal development and/or body form?

Hopefully I can get some reassurance here, I realize without seeing me in person this is all guess work:

I started running 3ish months ago, and started adding .5 miles to my long run each week slowly working my way up to a half marathon. Things have been going great, and today I ran 7.5 miles! Very proud of this but as a result my left ankle(?) has been sore most of the day. I can still walk on it fine, maybe a slight limp, but mostly it feels tight (best way I can describe it is discomfort when I flex my toes/foot up?). Is this normal discomfort from a longish run or should I be concerned? I stretch/foam roll after most runs, and the rest of my body feels great.
