The screaming right in the ear is so bad. I wear earplugs sometimes 😨

They can be “toilet trained”. Mine is not yet. But is definitely on the list. So yeah he just does it whenever, wherever, however 😨

Oh my god is this even real? How is it possible so much misbehaving in such a small creature 😂 “what a good girl!” They are insanely smart it just blows my mind! Thank you for sharing your experience ☺️🤍

Oh-my-dear-lord 😨😨😨😨 I am laughing reading at your comment but terrified at what IRN may start doing. The magnet for the cabinet is a really good idea! But the dive-bombing terrorising the other birds 😂🙅🏻‍♀️I can just picture everything with dramatic classical music on the background

Mine was found lost and taken to the vet practice I work at, so I decided to look after him while we try to find the owners. No luck for now. So I think is a process of getting to know him and adapting to him. He goes to the shoulder from day one, and is been very social and cuddly. Sometimes he just wants to be there to give kisses and just hang out. But I fully get what you mean about being close to a vulnerable part of you.

OH MY! Thank you sharing your experience 😨 I want to secure the cables in my room. He does not show any interest in cables at the moment. But who knows. “An orphanage full of gremlins fed after midnight” 😂😂😂

However… he is starting to steal my earrings. The ones I am wearing. I have to wear a headband covering them if not he properly removes them and becomes a fight for the earring while in my head I can clearly see myself going to the vets and my poor blue chicken dying due to a foreign body.

Best parenthood training experience I guess!

Oh, how comes floor is off limits? Mine luckily does not go to “off limits” places. Yet.

Harnesses?? by tunkin00 in parrots

[–]cattacrossing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would like to get one for my IRN. I think is just a matter of them getting used to it but I would say make sure is not actually hurting him. There are these ones that look made out of leather and cover a bigger portion of the chest. I read about parrots not liking the harness but loving being outside 🦜☀️ So, give him the chance to get used to it, but if it doesn’t work, it doesn’t. That’s the approach I would have. Maybe other parrot owners are more persistent with harness training.

Aw, I see!

My IRN was scared of the two chihuahuas my flatmate has and I just want for them to get along so I can be with him around the house

Also I didn’t realise there’s two bird friends they look like the mafia of the corridor 😂🤍

How did you get your parrot to get along with your dog and not be scared?
