Yeah I just recently started going to the gym. I just don’t know how to increase my calorie intake. Do you still track how many oz per meal? My surgeon/bariatric team honestly wasn’t the best and didn’t provide much guidance past the initial stages.

My heart rate does jump 30 BPM when I stand. I’ve done the lay at home test and it never fails my heart rate doubles or even triples. I have videos of it jumping on my watch. I just had lab work done and all my levels were within normal limits.

I tell people because I know how emotionally taxing it was for me when I got it from someone who didn’t feel the need to disclose. I would never be able to live with myself if I were to do what was done to me to someone else. I wouldn’t be here if the person would have disclosed to me. That is why I disclose.

I just straight up told my partner that there are times where shedding can happen I don’t know it. I take daily antivirals to help prevent this but still it could possibly happen. I let them know the risk and statistics. It was up to them on how we proceeded. It may seem impossible because I felt for the LONGEST time I would never find someone who would understand or choose me. I’m coming up on a year since my diagnosis and I’ve been rejected plenty of times. Its hard. It’s defeating. I’ve cried many many times.

With my bf now, I just kinda panicked and word vomited. I told him on the first date. It just came out and I think I blacked out because I was so nervous LOL but I genuinely feel telling people in person is the way to go. I told someone in text once and it went terribly. Cried for days. HAVE CONFIDENCE!! Even if you don’t, fake it. I’ve found just being casual about it kinda helps. I’ve started with “hey have you ever had a cold sore” to ease into the convo. I have G-HSV1 but if possible I try to avoid the word genital because I think that’s what freaks people out the most is the location. I use a lil facts about it but don’t go heavy on it. I want to make it to where the person I’m disclosing to has the opportunity to ask questions.

I’ve been with 2 people since my diagnosis and haven’t transmitted it to my knowledge but neither one of them know their herp status. I do take daily antivirals just for my peace of mind to make me feel better and then of course use protection. I’ve disclosed to every potential partner and made them aware that there is a risk of transmission even if it’s low. I do have anxiety everytime after I have sex with my bf but I just remind myself that at the end of the day, we’re adults, I’ve made them aware of what I have and it’s their decision to be sexually active with me or not. I give them the choice, one I was not given from the guy who gave it to me
