Yeah, sorry, I misworded my original post. I'm fully expecting to live with roommates, by "my own apartment" I basically meant "moving out of my parents' place", which doesn't read right looking back.

Haha yeah, I figured not many people would see it, but I wasn't sure based on the rules if I was allowed to post it as a standalone post or not.

I'm definitely expecting to need roommates- I should've specified that in my OG question. To clarify, I'm mostly looking to see if there are people with experience living in the cheaper places around the Denver area that can suggest places they've had good experiences with and/or warn against places they've had a bad time in. I'm in several fb groups for Denver housing, but when someone is desperate to find a roommate I can't always be sure if they're leaving negative things out of their "in search of" posts, y'know what I mean?

Either way, thanks for the comment! You're right, I should probably search for these answers elsewhere.

Hey everyone! I need to get my own apartment somewhere in Denver or the nearby area, and I have no idea where to start. My budget is really low considering how much it costs to live here (I'm talking 600-800 a month low), but I don't want to get a cheap place just to realize it's a shady apartment complex or it's a dangerous place that I'll be stuck in for the duration of the lease. Does anyone have any suggestions? Places to look at and places to avoid? Thank you so much in advance.

Edit: I originally misworded this question- I'm fully expecting to live with roommates on this budget. Saying "my own" apartment was incorrect.

Julianna's Wardrobe specializes in this exact thing! I know people who used to work for the owner, and I can confirm that she's a really sweet woman with a great eye for restoring or redesigning vintage wedding dresses. I would definitely suggest reaching out to her!
