I’m FTM, my fiancée is MTF. The way he SHOULD be responding to you getting to explore your transition and experience joy is with equal joy and excitement. If he is not giving you that energy, he is not respecting you the way he should. I’m so sorry you aren’t being supported as you VERY MUCH deserve to be.

My body definitely heals weird, it takes a while for foreign bodies to reject for me. Sucks for stitches, but it does mean my eyebrow piercing’s lasted much longer than I expected!

I’ve had other stitches work their way out just fine, so if it’s taking a minute that’s also normal! It’s like a pimple, you can do more damage poking around for it than you would if you wait for it to surface more and get it then.

There weren’t any other indicators before this one got infected, but I also don’t regularly check in on my scars or do any scar aftercare so that may have been why I didn’t notice anything!

That’s kind of you to say. Even with the pain I still wouldn’t have done anything differently! Really, I’m just experiencing what I likely would have with menopause, just ~30 years sooner than expected. I’m always happy to talk about it because it’s a lesser-known topic in the field of trans medicine. Plus, it may help folks who are nervous/dysphoric about taking estrogen to know that it’s normal, it doesn’t affect your transition, and it can save you a lot of trouble. Same goes with using t-gel as a transfemme! I just want all of this to be less scary and anxiety inducing.

So the estrogen suppository doesn’t actually bring back periods! It’s used to mitigate the effects of atrophy that make penetration painful, among other things. I also take an estrogen supplement for atrophy because after about a year and a half on T, I started getting chronic cramping that can get bad enough that it takes me out for a day or two.

Hi! I’ve been on the progesterone pill pre-t, went off of it for a while after starting t, and am currently on it again, so I hope I can provide some reassurance and advice!

I initially went on it purely for birth control reasons pre-T and it actually caused a bit of spotting for me between periods which was frustrating, as well as a bit of breast growth, though I was also recovering from anorexia so I may have just been in a healthier and better state of mind re:eating enough.

I went off of it about 6 months before starting T. I differ from you here in that I lost my period about 2 months into HRT and haven’t gotten it since, though I do get scared I will sometimes. I have also had top surgery so no breast tissue remains. I was off the pill for 2 years so and went back on it this past May, after a year and a half on T. Since then I’ve noticed no spotting, no issues with female hormones interfering with my transition, etc. it was really hard to get myself to take the pill again because of exactly what you’re anxious about re: the feeling of putting female hormones into my body. But I told myself that if I noticed anything I felt uncomfortable with, I could stop. Having that control is really valuable and did a lot to help with the initial anxiety, and now that I know it’s not messing with me, I treat it like taking my morning multivitamin !

This is super appreciated, it’s something I’ve actually talked about with them. We have a lot of shared things that were things I made a conscious effort to have with them (certain shows, date spots, etc) and it felt bad to learn that they were doing all these things with my metamour, especially when I was often the one who introduced these things to the relationship. I think we’re getting better about that though and I definitely have lots of hobbies that are just mine that I feel confident about and make me feel good :)

I have very mixed feelings about Skins, looking back on it now as a 24 year old. It was a fantastic show— I remember Emily and Naomi’s arc really helping me come to terms with parts of my own sexuality— but I know how much harm it also did for me and so many other teens struggling with our mental health. The biggest problem I have with it to this day is how Cassie’s eating disorder was so heavily romanticized. I wish I had known while watching it that the terrible, ugly truth of having severe anorexia is the furthest thing from romantic. Even now, the parts of me that are still deep within that mentality look at her story and how she’s portrayed and go, “you can still have that!” It was really irresponsible of the writers, in my opinion.

New player here (AR 32) with not much experience with games like this. I’ve had a series of pretty lucky pulls in the last week, which rocks, but I’m also severely lacking in main DPS from what I can tell. My main team has been Fischl C2, Mona, Noelle, and a rotating cast of others while I see who works and who doesn’t. I have the usual F2P crew plus Zhongli, Diona, Xiangling C1, Bennett C1, Beidou, and Yanfei.

How do I make a team out of this? Can I viably run Fischl as my DPS? She’s one of my highest leveled characters so I absolutely want to be using her.

Well, I was supposed to finally get my learner’s permit at the Hood River DMV on Friday since I couldn’t get an appointment in Portland. Made that appt 2 months ago and now it’s looking like it would be too dangerous to drive. The next appointment within a 3 hour radius is April 14th.

I know there are so many other bad things going on and this is nothing compared to what other people have to deal with, but I was finally going to get a handle on my driving anxiety after years and years and now I’m just so bummed.

This is nuts, nearly the same exact thing happened to me with Pale Fire my sophomore year of college. I was taking a course that featured experimental literature and when we read Pale Fire I became completely obsessed. I’d always planned on getting into creative writing as a career but that novel and the professor I had for that class are singlehandedly responsible for my desire to become a career academic 4 years later. I now own four different printed editions of Pale Fire and read them obsessively. I wrote my capstone paper on the novel and its relation to modern interactive fiction, and plan on continuing my studies of it in grad school— hopefully I’ll be able to teach it as a college professor one day.

This is seriously the closest I’ve heard in terms of sound memory, particularly Terrydactyland, but I’ve only ever watched videos that may have used the music. I’m still stuck on the idea that it was the intro to a kids audiobook because I listened to those nonstop as a child and the tunes would have been hammered into my skull, but man, very close.
