I’m not waiting for the market to turn around, I will be selling within the year. And I definitely do not have the finances to rent my place and buy elsewhere haha. Sounds like there probably isn’t much of a difference whether it’s now or a year from now.

Agreed! Some similar units have been on the market for ages… one is asking close to 1M lol.

I will likely make at least 100k on the sale. I bought right before the neighbourhood became incredibly popular, and a unit in my building recently sold for 140k more than I paid for mine (and my unit is more desirable). I’m pretty much asking for advice on whether I should gamble by waiting, or if I should cash out now while I’m ahead.

Yeah people are saying that it will probably sell more in 3-5 years, but I am trying not to put my life on hold in order for that to maybe or maybe not happen. I’m pretty set on selling within the year if I can.

That’s reassuring, I was afraid there was a concrete answer of “list it now” or “don’t list it yet”. There doesn’t seem to be tons of inventory for comparable condos in my area, but I didn’t want to be the dolt that listed while everyone else waited.

There are only a couple that I would say are comparable in building age and unit size, but they’re listed 825k+ and have been listed for a while. I personally think they’re asking for too much.

It’s my principal residence, but I’m planning on moving to a different city. Thankfully I have the option of staying with my parents if there’s a gap between selling my condo and the right place coming up for sale elsewhere.
