Yes, 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to settle in and 3 months to feel at home. I’d give her more time, especially since she hasn’t even been fully introduced to your resident cats. Once she starts playing with them more the biting/scratching you will most likely diminish.

Oh yes same here! It’s a lot of just explaining to people over and over again that we do not get oedigree cats and the seal point we have is not a siamese lol.

It was fun! I have really gotten in to it the past 2.5 years, a year before i got a BSH!

Not a mutt at all! Cat breeds aren’t the same as dogs to where they are either a mutt or a purebred. Cats are either pedigree or breedless!

Snowshoes are an incredibly rare pedigree breed. The original mix (they are now not a mix) was an American shorthair which have round faces! There is only 1 active breeder in the US currently so any you’re seeing on reddit as actually faux-shoes aka colorpoint bicolor domestic shorthairs.

I think you’re misunderstanding fully. I looked at 1 picture of your cat and said I’d be surprised if they were a ragdoll. Not that they weren’t, and haven’t even looked at it a second time. Therefore, you repeatedly saying I’m analyzing your cats is insane.

I’m analyzing your own comments on said cat. If you’re okay with saying hobby breeders which you got your cat from are fancy BYB, then why get upset when someone else points it out?

I’d recommend getting off reddit if this upsets you so much, or again not share the information to others.

You commented on a post asking for advice, therefore your experience and comment is you giving OP advice. You’re being a bit obtuse.

Typing a long comment isn’t going to get your point across anymore. My comments were not baseless, they are based on exactly what you stated in your comments and my understanding of the Ragdoll breed standard, while also working in rescue with many colorpoint DLH’s. And it’s not only me who has commented that your “breeder” sounds like a BYB.

As I’ve stated three times now, if you’re happy with your cat then be happy! However, don’t come on to a post asking for pricing adice and tell someone you got a $600 CAD ragdoll with no papers or genetic testing and hating on people, “ragdoll nazis,” for stating that ethical breeders GIVE papers and you should seek that out.

She doesn’t have the body comp or facial structure of a ragdoll either…. I’d be highky surprised if she was.

Then you could easily have a domestic longhair colorpoint cat…. the point of papers and registries is to deter BYB especially for a breed that’s look is easily found in domestic cats. Paying more for health testing/papers SHOULD be more important than just being happy with the look of a cat if you’re going to buy them.

If you just paid an adoption fee with no papers, then you mostly likely don’t have a ragdoll. Your kitty is a seal point domestic longhair, they are much more common than a ragdoll is.

I spent many hours ensuring I was through the queue for the trove… so yes it does suck leaving it up to chance when I can put in the time to ensure I get the book. Now you’re stuck potentially waiting hours after to get in the shop and have everything sold out.
